Well, tomorrow will be week three for me doing Weight Watchers. Have lost about 5lbs so far and need to lose about 12 more.

Curious if any other dis'ers are following WW and if so thought we could share some favorite meals or snacks to keep it fresh and motivate each other.

I am hoping that summer really is going to arrive at some point and hope to be a bit smaller by then. Anyone else?:beach:

Yep I'm doing it. Down 12 lbs in 4 months. 5 more to go to get to pre-baby weight. The 9 more after that to my happy weight.

Me! I just went to my first meeting yesterday. I have been following it on my own for the last month and lost 5.6 lbs.
I made the Curried Butternut Squash from their site yesterday. The only changes I made was omitted onions, don't like them, used veggie broth instead of chicken, and no sour cream. It was so rich and creamy.

Me! Started on January 18, but am only down 4 lbs. :(

I am doing it online and doing my best to stick within my allotted points each day. I am drinking tons of water, walking 2 miles at lunch at least 3 days each week and not eating after 8 p.m.

I am also working hard to make sure I have a fruit or veggie at every meal and snack.

I am hoping to lose 25 lbs.

I did it 10 years ago. They have changed the way they count points. I think they change every couple of years.

One thing that I ate a lot of as a treat was called "craving blaster" I think. You defrost fat free cool whip. Take chocolate graham crackers and break in half so you have 2 squares. Put 1 tablespoon cool whip on a cracker and use the other half to make a sandwich. Freeze it for an "ice cream sandwich." 1 point.

I also have a recipe for saucy meatloaf which had oatmeal, grated carrot, chopped mushroom, and salsa in it. Very good.

Breezy Carol,

I LOVE the craving blaster idea! I am going to have to try that one.

I am! Down 5.4 lbs in 4 weeks.

My favorite breakfast tamely has been shredded wheat, skim milk, with a banana sliced up and mixed in.

Snack- Kroger fat free vanilla Greek yogurt over sliced berries.

I've recently discovered that I love sliced up celery dipped in hummus. A Baggie of grapes is a good snack for the ride home so I don't get starving and have time to cook dinner.

My dinners have been boring. Brown rice, steamfresh veggies, lots of chicken.

I have been making a lot of meals from the skinny taste website. We have liked almost everything I have made from there. I still have a lot on my list to try. I think my favorite is the spinach manicotti.

Yeah I am on it....A month in, and I am down about 8lb. I am already under pre pregnancy weight. I still have lots to lose though, but happy so far. I have been doing the Smart Ones meals, and also the WW snacks....So far so good...Though I like that whipped cream one...MMMM

I'm not following WW right now but there was someone at work who brought these in for lunch one day. They looked AWESOME so I tried the recipe and love it so much so that it's one of my and DS's regular dinners (I made it tonight as a matter of fact :) ) I make it as a loaf, though. I use Stovetop's Traditional Sage stuffing and I add onions. ::yes::

Meatloaf Muffins

Estimated PointsPlus® Values Per Serving | 2
Servings | 12

Ingredients:

1lb. lean ground beef
1 box Stovetop Stuffing
1 cup water
2 egg whites
1 tsp A-1 or other sauce

Instructions:

Mix all the ingredients together. Spray 12 muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray. Divide meat evenly. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.

Special Notes:

Each muffin is approximately 2 points, and very easy to control portions. I put my leftovers in single serving containters in my freezer for a quick meal. You can also add 1/2 small chopped onion to the mix for extra flavor.

Pair these with WW Cauliflower Mashed "Potatoes" for a full meal.

That might be part of the problem if your sticking within your points and not using all of them.

WW doesnt care if you eat after 8pm if your hungry.

Cant wait to try the meatloaf muffins, Im also doing online and down 17lbs with 5-7 to go.

4lbs is still a loss so great job :thumbsup2

I am using all of my daily points and trying not to use my extra weekly points. When my partner and I did weight watchers together a few years ago, we typically used all of our daily and weekly points and did not lose much at all. It was very frustrating.

I am a snacker and a grazer and will typically nibble right up until bed time. I have been trying to not eat after 8, but if I am hungry I will reach for a piece of fruit or some grape tomatoes. Lately though, I have not been all that hungry.

Down another pound as of my weigh in this morning. Feeling good about it all!

I second the skinny taste blog. I haven't found anything I didn't like. I lost 40lbs year before last and her website was a HUGE help for meals.

Been following WW for 6 years, one month, and 8 days.... lost 86 pounds and now I'm a WW leader.

My best snacks are fruit.... but I know that gets boring for some folks. Popcorn (make my own in the microwave in a brown paper lunch sack), carrots/celery/bell pepper strips with hummus (but watch the portions on the hummus), WW 1 PPV cheese sticks, hardboiled egg whites, FiberOne 90 calorie snacks (when I need a sweet treat), ThinAddictives biscotti cookies, yogurt (fat-free plain greek.... mix it with fruit, sweetener, vanilla, and cinnamon), natural peanut butter (again, watch the portions) on a toasted low carb roll, pretzels with a Laughing Cow cheese wedge.

Meals.... some of my favorite go-to meals are Boca burgers and Morningstar Farms veggie burgers (California T'key burger and Tomato basil pizza burger are my favs), homemade soups (because I can control the protein, fat, etc) like split pea, butternut squash, broccoli cheddar, veggie chowder, plus chili (with lots and lots and lots of veggies), quinoa stew, egg whites (omelets, crustless quiches, frittattas, scrambles, and HUGE salads with a bit of "indulgent" stuff on top like goat cheese.

For family meals I try to stick with things where I can have a smaller meat portion and a larger veggie side, like a whole roasted chicken, grilled pork tenderloin, homemade meatloaf (that I can fill with lots of healthy stuff like beans, chopped veggies, TVP, etc). DH follows Atkins and DS has multiple food allergies, so dinner here for ALL of us is a challenge. We also don't eat lamb, veal, or any seafood (for moral and environmental reasons).

Come check out the recipe thread over on the WISH boards.... many of my favorite WW recipes (and plenty from other folks) are on there!

I've been on it for a month now and have lost 5 lbs. I made a 6 month commitment and hope to be at goal by then. I have not been following it as strict as I should and haven't started exercising yet either. BUT I am making much better choices and I hope that means I can keep it off this time.

I plan to always attend meetings because I have learned that I need that accountability. I am now trying to lose the same 12 lbs I lost a few years ago then gained back last spring. Plus I want to lose another 10 I hadn't gotten to yet! ;) I absolutely love my leader and like my Saturday routine.

As foods, currently I like the Progresso soups, Laughing Cow cheese wedges w/pretzels or celery sticks, or a handful of chocolate chips if I need something sweet. I try to choose more of the Power Foods when possible.

I love the Progresso soups too! They are my go to lunch. I like the Southwestern Zesty Chicken, the Beef Pot Roast and my favorite is the Chicken Corn Chowder. To me, none of these taste like 'light' soups. I also do the chocolate chip or M&M thing when I just need a taste of something sweet. I am doing much better with only eating a few.

My go to afternoon snack these days is a Light String Cheese snack, a few grape tomatoes and a few mini sweet peppers. Aldi has had them on sale and they make great snacks.

I am glad that the OP started this thread!

I've been on it for 2 weeks, and I haven't been as diligent about tracking as I should be (and just gave up on Sunday because I had one of my "I'm going to eat everything in sight and there's no stopping me" days ... thank you prednisone & hormones :scared1:). I've been sticking with the WW frozen dinners because it's way too much of a hassle to cook for just one; the fruit snack packs from Publix with apple slices/grapes/cheese cubes/pretzels/random combinations, and the veggie ones with celery and carrots; Pringles 100 calorie low fat packs or low fat microwave popcorn when I need something salty; and the WW ice cream. OMG the chocolate fudge bar thingies that are 1 point are like mini fudgesicles. Heaven on a stick when I need chocolate.

My weakness is soda. I just love the taste of Pepsi, but I know it's killing me on losing weight. I've got Mio Energy drops for caffeine, but still have no willpower knowing sodas are in the house (can't get rid of them, my granddad drinks them).

OP here. Sounds like everyone is doing great!

I have been trying to get on the treadmill every day for at least 30 minutes. Think it makes a big difference in my losing.

Yesterday I made two huge pans of roasted veggies. I cut up butternut squash, carrots, onions, asparagus and red peppers. Sprinkled some EVOO and salt and pepper. Roasted them for an hour at 400'.

Once they were done, I took one pan and mixed it in a blender with a large 32oz can of chicken broth to make roasted veggie soup. So yummy and I have soup for the week that is virtually zero points!

I also use roasted veggies to make a spaghetti squash bake. I basically roast everything and mix in a casserole dish with some marinara and mozzarella and parmesan and bake like a ziti. Very healthy and feels decadent when eating it.

For snacks, I love Nature Valley Granola Thins. They are thin squares of granola with dark chocolate on one side. So good and only 80 calories.

I also love frozen fruit mixed with a little splenda and microwaved for two minutes. It comes out like a warm pie filling and I put some ff cool whip on top. It is also great over angel food cake.

Love to hear how everyone is doing! Keep the ideas coming!:goodvibes
