We are doing a day at Legoland on our upcoming trip and was wondering if it would be worth it to pay the extra $12/person to also do the water park that same day or should we just stick with the main area of the park for the day? TIA for any replies :thumbsup2

I've wondered the same thing, although I've worried that there won't be enough time, since the parks aren't open very late at all.

Very true, that's kind of why I am on the fence about it, especially since it is such a small waterpark area and it would cost our family an extra $90 to do (as it is really an extra $15/person and not $12/person like I originally thought). I do think that it would be a welcome relief from the heat and I could see my kids having a blast in that huge Lego themed water play structure. I guess we'll just see how the day goes and what the crowds are like to determine if it's going to be worth it or not.

My son has never been to a waterpark and since this one is in the Legoland park, I know as soon as he sees it he will want to go in, so I am thinking about buying the waterpark admission too.

I havent been to Legoland in Florida, but to the one in California many times. I have to say my two sons were bored at the waterpark there. It was very small and even though it wasnt crowded, it just didnt have enough to keep their attention.

Now that I've thought more about it, I think we are just going to skip the water park. I am sure my kids would like it, but I don't think I can justify DH and I spending an extra $90 for us to do it. I am a little surprised Legoland would even charge extra for a water park area that small. It is cute, but has the standard set up (water play/sprayground structure, wave pool, kiddie area, and a couple slides) that most other places have, but on a smaller scale. Out my way here in PA, the amusement parks we've been to in recent years (Hersheypark, Idlewild, Sesame Place) have waterpark areas that are included with the cost of park admission, so again I am surprised Legoland is charging an extra $15 per person for their little waterpark when you have the Disney waterparks, Aquatica, and Wet N' Wild within an hour away. I guess they figure people will pay the extra $ because the Legoland one is more small child/family friendly? Just my guess :confused3

Good to know it is geared towards small children. SInce it will just be my husband and (then) 11 yo we will definitely skip that part. Thanks.
