Anyone do the Cinemaspectacular meal deal ?

I might not have called it the right thing. Has anyone done the Lombardos (probably also spelled wrong...) restaurant meal and show deal for the night time show at Universal Studios? It costs about $44 or so per person and includes dessert on their balcony to see the show.

Is the seating comfortable? Do you have a good view? Wondering if it is worth the money.

There are plenty of places to view the show without paying extra.

Agree with pcstang.......there are plenty of places around the lagoon to see the show without doing the package with Lombards.

Some of the best views of the show are down beside the water from Moe's Tavern and also around the area in front of Mels Diner. You don't need to be there much before the start to get a good spot.

We did it but sort of fell into it. I liked it and am glad it worked out for us.

To explain, we had lunch at Lombards - hubby and I and our 11yo son. During the course of lunch, the server chatted us up about our trip (it was our 1st to Universal) and told us about the show. She offered to switch our lunch to the package so we could come back for the show and take advantage of the reserved seating. We were eating lunch there anyway (multiple courses) so it didnt' cost us anything more to do it as the package.

We liked the reserve seating and that alone was worth it for us. My husband especially does not like crowds or standing around. The seating was comfortable with excellent sight lines. Servers were available for anyone that wanted drinks.

The dessert buffet wasn't very nice. It was a couple different cookies and cakes but nothing great in terms of quality and quantity. They break it down rather quickly as well so get at it quickly if you do go.
