Anyone do IRI shoppers hotline?

Just got an invite from IRI shoppers hotline in the mail. It's a program where they send you a bar code scanner and you scan all the items you buy each week. You earn points to redeem for gift cards. I was wondering if it's legit. And if so is it worth your time?

I've been doing it for about 6 months now. At first I thought it would be fun, have my purchases mean something....but it is really just a hassle. I stopped doing it for about a month and they just sent me a letter saying that they cancelled me. I had the option to scan within the week to re open my acct. or mail back their scanner.

I started again. I figured I committed to them, so I should do it, but I forget alot
