We are planning on a day at Discovery Cove in Sept. If we get there early and get the dolphin swim done early (hopefully) will we be able to get to SWorld later? I don't think we are interested in the aviary at all but will do the snorkeling, etc. I know we get a free pass to SWorld but can we get over there and do anything? The big items on the list include Shamu, the dolphin show, Kraken, and maybe Clyde & Seymour. What do you think--can we do it? I know it depends on the show schedule, which won't be out for several months, but if SWorld closes at 6 will there be any shows after 3 or 4? I think my family would be happy if only to ride Kraken. When we were there 2 yrs. ago in Feb. there were no lines late in the day--hoping for the same this time!

Thanks!

Denise

you can do it - but you are cheating yourself out of Discovery cove.

you can do the lazy river. or swim with some fish.

I have never done Discovery Cove but I know that you can not do all of SW in a half day even if you want to do just the big things. Check out all of DC do not sell short just becasue you might not think you will like it those are the times that usually turn out to be the best.

I can't fathom the thought of skipping out of Discovery Cove to go to Seaworld, and I love Seaworld.

Thanks to all! That's why I ask the question here--someone is bound to know!!

I would not cheat your self of a whole day at each park. They both are wonderful parks!
I think you will be very happy to spend a whole day at Discovery Cove its so peaceful and relaxing.
Oh and at Sea World don' t miss the show Pets ahoy! Its GREAT show!

NO, NO, NO! Don't cheat yourself out of precious time at Discovery Cove! My guess is that once you get there you won't be able to force yourself to leave that early anyway. To me, it's like a pristine mini tropical paradise. Even free food & drink. Take your time - relax and enjoy it! You might have time to jump over there just for dinner, but plan to spend another day at SW if you can, using your free pass. It's hard to work in all the great shows in just a few hours.

Have a great trip!

We have done this twice. However, I think SW was open into the evening. We got to DC very early and did everything. We were ready to move on by mid-afternoon so crossed the street over to SW. We didn't get to see everything at SW, but we hit all the big things.
