I am way way way behind on scrapbooking. But I started a scrapbook with 8.5 x 11 pages and it is going much faster than when I use 12 x 12 pages. I find I do not agonize nearly so much about what goes where, I think because the choices are more limited. That probably would be a bad thing for some, but I am liking the pages and they are coming together more quickly, so for now I am happy.

My mom did her trip to Indiana in 8 1/2 x 11. It was an obvious choice because the book that all the car club info came in was a nice binder and it made a great album.
I also think it would be cost effective because the paper packs from Joann Fabrics and Michael's come on 8 1/2 x 11 and they coordinate.

I used to do something close - they were a 9x12 format I got through Hallmark. They were like 3-ring binders, and you could buy page protectors with one big slot for a scrapbook page, or several small slots to just slip in pictures. I do think that helped me keet up a little better, but they were discontinued and I've since switched to 12x12.

I start scrapbooking on 8.5x11 - had a wonderful computer program & just printed off the pages (funny how that is now the way to go but with the bigger paper)

if you like it - go for it

I have an ongoing book I've been doing for my Dad that is 8.5 x 11 and I am planning to do this year's Project Life book in that same size (for ease of printing).

It is sort of "fun" to work in a different format size occasionally, since most of my "regular" scrapping is done in 12 x 12. I've also done gift albums in different sizes over the years.... it really makes you stop and think.

Glad that the smaller size is working well for you!..................P

I've scrapped 8.5 x 11 for most of my life and LOVE it.. Plastic sheets are easy to find (and cheaper than other sizes) Binders easier to find (and generally cheaper) Fit great on shelves etc. I HATE scrapping 12 x 12 and only have done 2-3 books vs 15-20 8.5 x 11...

Go for it!

Me too! That is the only way I scrap. Like Reddy, I too had a great computer program with lots of clip art. I got a Cricut a year and half ago, so I now do alot with that.
