Anyone disappointed in Soaring?

Our whole family LOVED this ride!!! As a matter of fact, it's our new favorite! :tink:

Sorry, can't agree with ya, this is a great attraction. Went on it numerous times.

I liked it, but from all the hype and talk about how amazing it was going to be, I thought it was going to incredible. But when I rode it, it was realistic, but it wasn't the best. It was better than other simulators, of course, but still, I was a little dissapointed. It's definitely not my favorite, but I still liked it.

Only for two reasons: 1) the ride's too short and 2) they couldn't be bothered to come up with a movie that's different from the one used in California.

:cool1:

Wow.. I didn't know that some people don't like it. I love it and go on as many times as possible. I loved the transitions to another part of California. It really shows how vast and different areas of California are.

Perhaps in the future they will have more Soarin over different parts of the world or the country. I would love to soar over each Disney park around the world for example.

You might have missed this (but it was in all the papers) :lmao:

During the 50th Celebration the IDEA this year was to feature attractions from other Disney parks around the world.

Some of these are:
"Lights, Motors, Action Stunt Show" from Disneyland Paris
"Cinderellabration" from Tokyo Disneyland
"Soarin' " from DL/DCA in CA

There IS ALREADY IN PRODUCTION (if not completed) a NEW film.
It is called "Soarin' Over America" (or similar).
The giant images, of classic American locations, featured on the walls in the Soarin' QUEUE reflect the scenes from this film.
It will start running after the end of the 50th Celebration.

True! We always ask for the top row. The feet dangling is a total distraction. :grouphug:

To me, you get the best experience of Soarin if you sit in the front row. If you're in the back or middle row, then you get to see 20 pairs of feet dangling in front of you, which ruins the illusion. My dad and I always ask for the front row and it's only a little wait

We love Soarin and wow, I didn't realize that there was going to be a Soarin over America! I better go back and watch this one some more before it's gone, we really do enjoy it.

Bobbi :)

Soarin' was awesome!! Rode it twice during recent Dec 2005 both in the identical row...3rd row, far right...yes with lots of feet dangling. Even with that, I loved it!! Never been to California. :sad2: But Soarin' definitely encouraged me to think about heading west soon. My mom first time around felt at times that she might fall out of her seat. Especially when flying over Downtown L.A. I look forward to Soarin' over America. I vote for more smells!

Is there anywhere where I can see what the ride vehicles look like? I really can't find anywhere that explains them. All I know is that your legs dangle? :confused3

They are like comfortable leather chairs. About 12 "chairs" to a row. 3 Rows.

Plenty roomy for even Pooh-sided folks.

Soarin was fun..we got to do it a few times & the kids liked it. Nothing spectacular though but worth a ride, not worth the hype.

I agree.

Soarin is a great ride! A bit short? Yes, but thats a very small thing. Bring on a new film and new smells! WOOHOO!!!

We loved it this trip. We were so happy that my DS 3 made the 38" mark before this trip! First trip all three kids were big enough to ride everything together.

DH and I, and DD7, DD 5 and DS3 loved Soarin!

heck no!!!! great great ride!!!

we all loved it!!!
can't imagine anyone not liking this ride

now if you want to talk about a bad ride

let's look at that stupid stitch attraction in MK

Really? I thought it was "let's import a bunch of stuff from our other parks so we don't have to come up with anything new for awhile."

I agree with what everyone has said about the spraying of water would make it better. I like this ride, I have probably been on it around 10 times altogether, but it got boring to me after the first time I rode it.
