Anyone did Dolphins recently via DCL in Cayman?

Just wondering if you could pick which bus you came back on as I see there are several different times that it leaves the port. My family was thinking of going over to the turtle farm for a bit(it is no longer offered by DCL, but right across the street) Thanks

We did this DCL excursion recently. It was actually a bit of a gong show getting back. We really wanted to be on the first bus back and we were there waiting amongst the first people to get on. Then, more people came and there was no order in who was there first and who would get on the first bus. At one point, my husband just wanted to leave and grab a cab back so we wouldn't have to deal with the mess but it seemed like a big ordeal involving signing waivers to forego the DCL transportation. We ended up on the first bus but it wasn't an ideal situation. Long story short and to answer your question, you pick your time by waiting at the pick-up area. For us, there wasn't a formal process. Enjoy!

I went on this excursion back in August (when you could still pair the Turtles with it). This is totally feasible to do as you suggested. Just try to pick one of the earlier Dolphin times so you have enough time. When we went 5 small buses went over at the same time, but we didn't go back on the same one we came in on. As the PP said, when you were ready, you got in line and the next bus from the Disney-sponsored tour company took you back. For us, the wait wasn't long, but we were rather later in the day.

The turtle place is across the street, and although I'm sure you could spend a whole afternoon there, we had a very nice experience in about an hour. There was a 20-minute tour, during which we saw the main areas with the big turtles in them, then it ended up at the touch tanks where you could pick up 1-1.5 foot turtles. They will take a picture of your group with their camera, but you really don't need to wait in that line if you don't want to because all the other touch tanks are right there and after a couple of minutes you can get close enough to pick one up and take your own pictures if you'd prefer. Then we went over to the nursery and saw 5 little turtles that had hatched 5 days earlier. It was worth it, to us.

Thank you both for answering. There are 4 times to go over and we signed up for the first one, so that should work out great. My one daughter gets anxious in cabs, we have had a couple bad experiences, but she feels "safer" on the bus.

Thank you. Do you recall how much the cab was just in case they end up doing that?
