Anyone deal with Vocal Cord Dysfunction and breathing issues?

Anyone have experience with Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD)?
I've been struggling with breathing for awhile now. Thru the years I've been told both that I have asthma and that I don't have asthma. Asthma medication does not help, and seems to make it worse at times.

So at my most recent doctor visit, I was told I might have Vocal Cord Dysfunction, with the vocal cords causing the breathing problems. I have an appointment on Wednesday with an ENT doctor to check this out.

So I was wondering what anyone can tell me about this! I've never heard before that vocal cords could cause breathing problems and am just flabbergasted by all this!

I don't have VCD but do have spastic dysphonia which makes me shirt if breath during conversations at times. My case is mild and if you are diagnosed with that then there are few options.good luck!!! It's an anoying problem but something you can live with!!!
