Anyone currently in DW mind posting allergy info? (cupcake specific)

Anyone currently on vacation want to do me a huge favor and ask the QS people if there are any cupcakes that are safe for Peanut/tree nut allergy? I'm assuming no, but I would love to surprise my daughter when we go in April. I can't find any specific lists on Disney's site or on other blogs.

Normally I check the binders when I'm there, but I won't know that for a while!

I'm not there now, but do have a peanut/tree nut allergy (epipen). Over the years, i've been able to eat most of the cupcakes...i don't ask for the allergen info, i just go off of the description. So there will definitely be something there for her.

I will say, i'm super picky and not adventurous when it comes to food and if something seems like it may even remotely have something in it, i'll stay away.

Thanks! We also carry epipen and she is super careful about food. I just see all these fun 50th anniversary items and I'm hoping there will be something! She can't have M&Ms and I saw a lot of desserts covered with them.

I feel your pain! I'm like why do they have to put hazelnut or almonds in everything I'll get excited about a special whatever, only to discover there's some sort of tree nut in it. I feel like Disney has a new deal with M&M or that company because i'm seeing a lot of treats loaded with them.

Not Disney related, just how tricky places can be...we went to dinner one night and got cheesecake for dessert. The crust looked off (i hadn't tried it yet), DH tried it and told me not to eat it. There was some sort of nut in it and it wasn't listed on the menu. You also wouldn't think cheesecake crust would have nuts in it, it's just supposed to be graham cracker and butter, nothing else.

something to remember with the current supply issues what could be safe now might not be when you visit or could not be safe now but safe when you visit. which is why you most likely will not find answer on the Disney site

Sunshine seasons has a vegan cupcake that was safe for our DD as well (DS is allergic to milk/eggs). At an ADR you can have an allergy free cake added at the podium (not sure if this is still offered, and we have not tried the dome cakes that are offered (see link below)). Usually the online menus will list treenut/peanut safe desserts. Our DD is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds.

Resorts: The best cake she had was at Steakhouse 71 and they make it in house and the chef came to us and assured us there is no cross contamination (she reacted to a custom order cake that morning and didn’t want to touch anything-scary few hours)! At Art of Animation, she usually eats the mermaid cupcake. At Le Petit cafe (Riviera) she gets tarts/madeleines (check for cross contamination) and at Topolinos she can have the chocolate cake.

Epcot: Cake at the Honey Bistro booth has been safe for her. There are so many options. The first booth you stop at you can ask the chef about the desserts/snacks at other booths as well.

MK: Dole whip, pineapple upside down cake at Sunshine seasons, BOG dessert (they make sure to leave off the pearls/substitute a delicious chocolate ganache truffle; the speciality dessert now has a cupcake with nuts so it’s no longer safe); dessert party we filled a special form and they gave an overly sweet plate which neither kid ate much from, but there was banana bread, gummies, cheese, fruit. Halloween waffles at sleepy hollow

HS: ABC commissary has a strawberry shortcake dessert; milkshakes at Sci fi; chocolate cake at Hollywood&Vine

AK: the blueberry cake at Satuli is safe but NOT the chocolate (she had a violent reaction once; we were told it didn’t contain nuts but it actually has some hazelnut spread or something similar in it I believe. Churros at Nomad lounge; Lion king cake at Tiffins

If you truly want to be safe, you can order a cake from Erin Mckennas (as long as she’s not allergic to coconut; our Dd is ok with sunflower lecithin also) and they can deliver a cake anywhere on property (to resorts as well).

Yup, this is the case, the Main Street Confectionary is now sponsored by M&M/Mars, and I see lots of evidence of the Mars presence in the other parks as well. Seems like they are shoehorning the Mars brand candies on many, many treats now.
