Thought I would share DCL's plans for New Years via the letter in my documents i received just yesterday:
"Dear Disney Cruise Line Guest:
We will be celebrating New Year's Eve with festivities from stem to stern. On this evening, "elegant" attire should be appropiate, with ladies in their formal or semi-formal gowns or pant suits and gentlemen in their tuxedos or jackets and ties. Children of all ages will enjoy this black-tie evening, which will begin with our chef's sumptous special-occasion fare. Throughout the evening, bands and DJ's will preform ship-wide for your dancing and listening pleasure...leading up to a special countdown ceremony and the official welcoming of the New Year.
On New Year's Day, we hope you will bring along your favorite football jersey and be a part of our annual Bowl Games Tailgate Party. Whether your favorite team is playing that day or not, you will want to be part of the team spirit that will surely be evident in the venues where we will be showing bowl games virtually all day.

Its scary..but..i cant wait for Christmas to just be OVER so I can get on down to Port Canaveral
