Anyone consider themselves a flight schedule pro?

I got a *Goofy* question....

I just booked this morning a qucik 5 day trip to WDW for September....

So, I go to United - which is who I just flew with - and check out their flights. They have a really reasonably priced flight - everything looks good, in fact it looks just like the last flight I took - EXCEPT....

Last flight I took was at 6am - the earliest flight offered in September is 8am?? And it's the same flight number. Why is this??

Is it too early - will they add more flights, or will this flight change? I know when I originally booked the 6am, it started out at 6.30 am.

Im confused...:confused3

Just for pure curiousity - I checked August and June. Same dates, sort of, leaving on a Thursday AM. Both of those show an 8am flight as the earliest.

Now I checked April - and they have an earlier flight... 6am.

Im super confused!!!

It all depends on the time of year you fly. School vacation weeks for example, there will be more flights to accomodate the crowds.

It's unlikely that United would add an earlier flight for their September schedule if it's not already loaded in there now. September is already off-season.

I know - but January is off season, and they had one then AND Chicago is a HUB.

Man - i hope they add it. I need to be at "The World" by 11am!!!

schedules change seasonally. I fly United several times a month and they have become quite expert at filling almost every seat on the routes I fly. Sometimes one of my more frequent routes is offered 7 days/week, sometimes 5 days/week, sometimes 2 days/week.

Just because a route may not be your preferred time/route, it may be one that fits into their schedule. Also consider connections. As ORD is a hub for United, they schedule based on incoming flights being able to connect to popular destinations.
