Anyone close on resale since Christmas

If so are you in the Disney system yet? I have talked with another new DVC member and they were not in the system as of day ten. The answer was DVC was backed up with membership dues. Does that sound legit?
 
I just closed about 2 weeks ago and still waiting to get my paper work from Disney. ::MinnieMo
 
We closed on a Vero beach contract a couple days after Christmas. We are also still waiting.
 
I'm not in your situation, but just wanted to say that it does sound legit. There are close to 100,000 members, aren't there? That's a lot of dues notices to prepare and mail out and those must go out on time. And then you have all the payments coming in and I'm sure Disney puts a high priority on getting those payments processed! I could easily imagine that they had little time for any other administrative tasks while this is going on.
 

Call or E-Mail your sales agent. They will do what they can to find out as much as possible about the situation. Sometimes a gentle "nudge" is all it takes. I do know Disney is extremely busy this time of year, just as this is our busy time.

We passed ROFR several days after Christmas. We just received the following email today:

Welcome Home, You are now a member of The Disney Vacation Club.

Congratulations!!!! Your purchase of Disney Vacation Club has closed this week. In the next 7 to 10 days you can call Disney Member Services and tell the representive you would like your member ID number. This is the number you will use when you make reservations for your future vacations.

Disney will be sending you membership information, including your new membership card, via U.S. mail over the next few weeks.

We are now DVC members for a second time. :cool1:
 
we submitted a resale contract to disney on 12/28 and were notifed that we passed on 1/10.....

our agent said that it usually takes about 2 weeks to close, but that disney was back-logged - processing annual dues - and that moving resale contracts to the title company was most likely not a high priority....

we are still waiting to hear re: closing.....
 
I passed ROFR on 12/12, closing documents emailed to me on 12/27, which I signed and overnighted with my cashier check on the same day, confirmed receipt 12/28. Closed on or about 1/4 and my points showed up when I logged into DVC website on Saturday, 1/14.
 
I called earlier but was unable to wait the entire 15 minutes estimated time. I remembered it was derby time so hung up. I will try tonight

It's probably particularly bad this morning given the 3-day weekend!
 
We closed on 1/10, I waited until today to check and yes, we're in the system.
 
We closed on the 12th but have not heard anything from Dsney yet. The resale agent said it would be approx. 2 weeks before we heard anything.
