This really seems to describe DD but how is it treated if she were to be diagnosed with it by a doctor? The descriptions I read really describe her but could describe over half of the kindergarteners in the world. So I was just curious as this side of sensory seems less of a problem than sensory avoiding. I have never really heard much about either diagnosis and was wondering abouth other experiences. Thanks for the insight!

Ds was "oral sensory seeking" and one of the things we were told was to use an electric toothbrush...another was to get him a hard rubber toy to chew on...another was to allow him to chew gum. He has outgrown his issues--or maybe their "therapy" worked--and has no problems now.
