Anyone cancelling Pop for the last week in March?

I need another room at Pop Century for the last week in March. They said when I called today that they are already booked. The best they could offer was 2 king room at a moderate. Yikes...is that normal or is there something big going on the week.

This is our first trip to WDW so maybe should have made reservations earlier but just finalized dates last week. We are learning as we go. If you are cancelling reservations for 3/28 - 4/3 at Pop please send me a personal message so we can coordinate calls.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

The is the week following Easter. According the the Unofficial Guide for 2005 the number of people in the park are much lower during that time.

I wouldn't believe that. Most schools that I know of here in NJ have that week off school. We're also going to WDW that week and just made our reservations on Monday. We also encountered LIMITED availability, probably due to Easter Vacation. Expect VERY high crowds that week, the two weeks that are around Easter are always the highest in park attendence for the year. The only week that is higher than those two weeks (this year March 19 - April 3) is the week between Christmas and New Years. It's after April 3rd that the crowds begin to wan.

Wow...I just made a reservation for Tues-Thur, March 29-31st. I am glad I was able to get my reservation. I would suggest to keep trying. The inventory changes daily.

Most schools will be out that week because of Easter. It will be very crowded.

The weeks before & after Easter are second only to the week between Christmas & New Years when it comes to crowds. It will be very crowded. Just look at the Magic Kingdom park hours for that week. It is open until 11pm every night. That's a good indicator of how crowded they expect it to be.

I just called back and was able to put a hold on a room for the time frame we are staying. I had a promotion code I was trying to book our relatives with the same code. I think what happened is they ran out of rooms for that promotion. When I asked them to remove the promotion code, they found an available room. Thanks for all your input. Like I said, I'm still learning the ins and outs of Disney.
