I want to buy the kids a couple of shares of Disney stock. What I want to know is do they send you the Disney certificates like the ones you can get through One Share.com? Sorry if this is a stupid question.
Thanks for any help.

I am not sure, but wanted to bump this up to see if someone can help :)

Why are you using Sharebuilder? Is it better than OneShare? I bought my kids Disney stock thru OneShare. I didn't know I had other options!

DisneyHumbug,

Decided to look at buying through ShareBuilder because they charge a $4 per transaction fee (which they state is good for the person who only wants to buy one or two shares). OneShare.com charges a $39 fee, I believe, when I looked at the site.
Hope this helps.

My kids both invest reguarly through Sharebuilder. While it is true that their transaction fee for buying is $4, they do not send you a stock certificate. Their service is intended more for the dollar cost averaging investor.

Also, their fees for selling the stock are significantly higher than $4. Something that did not catch my eye originally and something that I was not too happy to find out once the accounts were open. I should have read the materials more closely.

:(
