I am going to give ebay a try.

I have looked at the jewelry auctions to help price stuff I am going to sell.

I can't seem to find any set price. Some stuff is really expensive and some stuff is $1. Even real diamond earrings are listed at $20.

Any advice?:sunny:

The only thing I have been leery about buying good jewelry on ebay is that it might be fake or not good quality..

Costume jewelry seems to go good in lots I noticed

I buy all of my silver on e-bay (rings, pendants, bracelets) and so far have never had any problems.

Last month I bought a 2/3kt diamond ring for DH for $89. The diamonds were beautiful but the ring itself was "light". For $89 I am not complaining and I think I got a good deal.

I ALWAYS read seller reviews before purchasing.

I buy vintage and new costume jewelry on Ebay. There is so much jewelry on Ebay that I think it's important to include a gallery photo and lots of keywords in your title. Some of the search terms I use include filigree, art glass, charms, enamel*, vintage, etc. Continue to browse Ebay completed searches and try to figure out what sells and why. There are tons of people selling new jewelry and there is tremendous competition. I generally am looking for unique items at good prices with inexpensive shipping (isn't that what we are all looking for?:) ).

I just sold a 1/2 ctw diamond engagement type ring for a friend of mine. The auction ended last week. I was just very honest in the description. It was not certified and was purchased at AMES dept. store before they went out of business. I took a good photo and included the price tag in the picture. My friend told me she'd be happy to get $100 for it, so I put it up for $99.99. It got one bid at the very end of the auction. I did not put a gallery photo on it, but I noticed that most jewelry had one.

It's probably best to list it for exactly what you want for it. I saw those diamond rings that were listed for $.01, but I kept thinking, what if they don't get bid up?? You can't even pay your fees for that! LOL

Good luck!
