I recently decided to switch to contacts. I need Acuvue Oasis Toric (for astigmatism). Eye dr's office quoted me $42 per box, but I see places online where they are less than $30 per box (visiondirect.com, opticontacts.com and webeyestore.com). Has anyone ever used one of these companies? I need to see if my insurance will cover if I buy online, but even without my insurance I think online might still be cheaper. Thanks.

I've used both CoastalContacts.com and lens.com and been happy with the price, product and the service.

I also use Coastal Contacts. I have always had great service.

I ALWAYS order online. They beat the price of the Drs office every time. I check several places, and order where I can get the best price, usually 1-800contacts or vision.direct.com

I second vision direct. Plus they have a usally have codes you can use.

Spend a few min and do a search for different ones and best prices. I used 1800contacts because they have/had a price match policy, I saved 10% on the lowest price I found online  and yeah, it was MUCH cheaper than the Dr. office!

I recently ordered from Vision Direct and I saved $16 a box compared to 1800contacts! It was also very quick. I got them in like 4 days after I ordered. I had to order Acuvue Bifocals and that is how much I saved. They usually have a discount code that you can use too. Acuvue also has a rebate on their website that you can get after you purchase.

In the past I've ordered from both VisionDirect and 1800Contacts but I found that my Costco and Sams Club had my brand/prescription for cheaper.

Add me to the list. I only buy online. I've used vision direct, 1800contacts, and contactlensking. I check all three and go with the cheapest. I also wear toric lenses and they are more expensive than regular contacts. I had trouble with dryness and correct fitting for the 2 wk disposables and have now switched to the daily toric lenses. They are more expensive but so much more comfortable. Good luck with your purchase.

me too. I use visiondirect all the time. Not one problem.

I bought those exact lenses for my son a few months ago from justlenses.com. Just be aware that lenses for astigmatism take a bit longer to get then regular lenses. For instance my husbands regular lenses took about a week to get, my sons toric lenses took about 3 weeks. Almost all online contact lens websites will tell you in the fine print that astigmatism lenses take longer.

Find the cheapest price you can, then go to www.retailmenot.com and see if you can find a discount code for free shipping. I always check several websites, but justlenses seems to be the cheapest and I always find a free shipping code for them on retailmenot.

One other thing you can do is find the best price and then call your eye doctors office and see if they will meet that price.:thumbsup2

Who makes the daily toric lenses? Are these Acuvue or another manufacturer? I am still in my 2 week "trial period" and haven't totally gotten used to them yet. I also seem to have a lot of dryness and I feel like the one on my left eye is rotating more than it should because it gets blurry sometimes.

i used vision direct and they were cheapest and i had a coupon code

I've used lensdiscounters.com

Last year I told my eye doc that I was ordering them online and they matched the price.

I have always bought my contacts online - they are always cheaper than buying locally. I have used visiondirect, 1800contacts and lens.com.

I buy my Acuvue Oasys contacts at Costco, because they are cheaper than any place I've found online.

I just bought mine from walgreens.com. Absolutely no complaints. The shipping was very quick, and at the time they had the best price (there was a coupon code, plus I got a 5% cash back incentive from shopping with my Discover card). However, not a week after I bought mine from Walgreens, there was a little bit better deal offered with my Discover card through visiondirect.com. I think you just need to go to several of the sites listed and see who has the best price! Scour the internet for coupon codes as well, there are almost always some kind of codes available.

used 800 contacts without insurance took less then 5 days to get contacts, they where all late exp. they did a good job.... and it was half of what the doctors office would have charged me plus i got mypoints
