Anyone bridge an LMT ticket to AP lately?

Just wondering if they give you credit for the LMT discounted price or the price you'd pay through Disney. Plan to get my daughter a pass since she's moving to the area for college and wondered about getting a 5-day hopper LMT ticket, because if they credit you the $370 Disney rate it saves about $52. If you get the value of the actual amount you paid, there's no reason to get an LMT ticket first assuming no blockout dates get in the way during the visit (which they don't).

Rule of thumb is: officially, Disney does NOT price-bridge. Expect to pay not just the additional price for the upgrade, but also the price between what you paid and the gate price. That said...there really is no way for the ticketing CM to know what you paid for the ticket you're upgrading, assuming you have one of the actual tickets they give you at the gate and not the printout you got when you bought them. Assume you'll have to pay the difference and be grateful for the pixie dust if you don't! When we upgraded five-day (discounted) park hoppers to APs in 2016, they credited us for face value. Saved us more than $100. There are many others on these boards who can tell you the same story.

I just upgraded a 5 day ph from lmtc to a deluxe AP last month and they bridged the price.

I did it last December. I took my voucher for a 5 day hopper to the turnstile, traded it in for a ticket and on my way out stopped and upgraded to an AP. It's was a normal looking ticket. Didn't say anything on it about having a discount or bought through LMT. I was credited what a 5 day park hopper would have cost anyone buying a ticket at the park that day would pay.

We upgraded 5 day parkhoppers from LMT to Annual passes in April. The price was bridged. Also, Disney considered it a renewal because we are previous annual pass holders. If you’ve ever had a pass, they call it a renewal. Love saving a little on the AP with LMT tickets!

Thanks so much for all of the replies! I'm going to go ahead and order a 5-day LMT hopper for her and upgrade to a pass. If they bridge the price, that's a big bonus!

We upgraded our LMT tickets last August to AP's. We didn't enter the park first, just took our printout to the ticket booth. We were given full credit for the tickets. I'm always prepared that we won't get to keep the discount, just in case, but they've always bridged the price.

Wow I always thought that they would give you the value of what you paid for the ticket. It's great to hear that they bridge the price now!

Just another experience...We upgraded 6 LMT 5 day park hoppers (3 adult and 3 child) to deluxe annual passes in November and they bridged for us too.
