Anyone booked free dining with non UK resident relative

My family members are thinking of coming over on the free dining deal and want me to join them. The only problem is that I now live in Canada. Has anyone else done this and, if so, were there any problems either in booking or redeeming the tickets.

I believe to book you need to have a billing address in the EU. Could your relatives book for you and you pay them?

We had a problem with a non eu address. We got someone else to book and then transfer the address.

yes, you need an EU billing address.
You can book through relatives/friends or an EU travel agent.
I find it easier with a TA just because the money issues are easier. I pay the TA with a credit card.

It is only the lead name on the booking that matters, so if your relatives can book for you then its not a problem. We added my canadian brother to our room / tickets / dining reservation last year - as far as Disney are concerned its just a name, they never need to see any ID or passport or anything.

Thanks, that was just the information I was looking for. In the end we decided that renting points for DVC was better for us, my relatives only want a few days in the parks and DVC currently has a 4-day park deal that works for them.
