Anyone booked Delta MAN via JFK?

I got emails this morning but only for 2 accounts, should have received 4 emails so some might not know about the changes.
Looks like they have removed the MAN~JFK route.
We have been transferred to new routes but its a complete mess, Myself, Karen & Matt all returning on different planes and stupid routes like TPA~NYC~ATL~MAN with flight times taking off before we have even landed at the airport. Same for relatives.
Just sent them an email with my suggested alternatives.
 
Thanks for the heads up, Wayne. We are on this route for the return, just checked the status and we now go MCO-JFK-ATL-MAN arriving at JFK after ATL connection as left. We booked with Charter so have contacted them to help. Hope you get it sorted, at least we're on the same flight.

Sent them a message thru skymiles account yesterday with suggested option I would accept, basically just changing our connection airport form JFK to Atlanta, very similar times as I had and plenty of availability so looks simple to me. No reply yet.
Not sure how easy it will be by phone as we have bookings in 4 different names/reservations and one reservation thru ebookers not direct, if they need to talk to us all it will be almost impossible.

really a nightmare..

as for the meaning of delta - that's of course not my invention..
a delta ground agent told me that one (she whispered it while laughing)...
 
Norman rang them & it looks like the new flights were automatically generated. He spoke to Fabriza who was able to put us on the 3.30 to Atlanta instead of 12.30 to JFK, then we will get 7.05 to MAN. (landing at original time of 8.25am). Call was 12p per min & on for 15 mins but at least it's sorted.
Realise you have a few different bookings so it maybe more complicated for you.
Bonus for us is we have 3 hours longer in Orlando & 2 hours change over instead of over 5 hours.

Just now I have re-arranged our flights but couldn't change Karen's seat online if I try changing it asks for another £38 for economy comfort which I have paid once. Sent another email for them to change that.
I got flights via ATL with a far better connection that originally thru JFK.

Still trying to sort relatives, I booked theirs via Ebookers so Delta could not re-arrange them. Rang Ebookers eventually spoke to supervisor who offered a full refund or try re-book I told him which flights I was willing to accept at 7pm, told me he would ring back within 20 mins, still waiting almost 2 hours later.

I couldn't wait any longer, 2 hours was enough for me so I used online chat, they rang me back from US, wanted me(relatives) to accept 1hr 25min connection in Atlanta, I said no, last twice we have been thru ATL has taken 2 hours and thats 1st off plane in Biz class so for a family with a 4 year old first time indirect I said I wanted the next flight with 2 hr 25min connection, after ringing Delta he said should be no problem but Ebookers UK had now closed to re-issue tickets, they will ring me again tomorrow to confirm.
 
Well as long as they call. What a blooming headache!! :headache: I still can't believe they separated you onto 3 different planes :scared1: It's bad enough when they seat you far apart but that is really ridiculous. I wonder if anyone with children had their kids put onto different flights .... :rolleyes1

I doubt anyone else is having the same problems, its because we used airmiles to book (and £3.20 :rotfl:) we had to do 3 seperate bookings using our own miles so got 3 booking reference numbers, obviously when they came to re-schedule they were not attached to each other so gave us 3 different flights.
As with the Ash cloud I have found Delta excellent at re-arranging flights by phone, they just don't like doing things by email.
Part of the problem now is because relatives booked via Ebookers (far cheaper than Delta.com) they are in UK but phone & chat goes thru to US, then they have to ring Delta because I won't accept what they want me to. Would be far easier if Delta would talk to me but they won't.

I hope you get it sorted. It's one of those things you would never even think to consider when booking!
 
In all the years we have been going they have never removed a route, had plenty of time changes but you don't expect them to take the whole route away.
Ended up costing me an extra £38, I paid for Karen and Matt to upgrade to Economy Comfort when booking but mine was no charge next to the exit door(probably stuck out a bit and hindered leg room) now its a different plane I had to pay to upgrade myself, so they have cost us £41.20 each now.

Thought it was too good to be true, Delta contacted Norman this morning to say we can't have the flight as it needs to be done by travel agents (Charter Travel).
Contacted Sean(TA) but need to go through head office (1000's to re arrange). Norman's spoken to them and they said it shouldn't be a problem to get the flight & seats we were given last night. They are going to get back to us:rolleyes1
 
Hi Wayne. Charter Travel sorted everything for us, hope you've got relatives sorted. As you can see I have sorted out my password, thanks for your help with that. I've missed commenting on the boards but have been reading all the trip reports incl yours. Also followed Matt's blog, he's such a talented writer, I remember he even made a bus journey interesting.

Glad you got your password sorted, I deleted your email address so couldn't send you another to ask how you had gone on.

Still waiting for ebookers to get back to me, they have promised to call by tomorrow evening. Last twice they have said they will ring I have had to contact them so hope they keep their promise this time. The sticking point is the outbound flight, they are offering MAN~ATL~MCO but only a 1hr:25min connection, been thru ATL twice and both times took 2 hours to get thru. I am wanting to get them on the next flight which is 2hr:25mins.

delta suddenly removed a route from here without warning......
in our case, they removed the tel aviv - atlanta route (leaving the TA-JFK)..
but supposedly they'll bring it back for next summer....
my mom wasn't happy...she was here at the time and was scheduled on the atlanta route....they wanted to send her through JFK, but she'd have none of that...she flew via amsterdam instead (klm to amsterdam, then delta to detroit).....
but it was insane that they just suddenly decided that as of a particular date they were eliminating an entire route......they made the decision almost over night......(forcing people here to return to the states a different way)...
when people complained about the loss of the route, they said they would bring it back in the summer....we shall see..
but still, to suddenly eliminate a route that way is insane...
 
Just checked the Delta app on my phone, relatives flights now showing what I requested so hope we are all sorted now, just need to go on the seat map and get best I can for them.
No call back from Ebookers yet although they did say they it would be an evening call.
 
Ebookers did ring me back, could not stop apologising for not returning previous calls, he said he had taken a day off and I should have been called. Confirmed Delta had changed relatives to the flights I requested even though the cost was more(that was the reason for delay, it had to be authorised by a supervisor) Just priced up and they are asking £1,061.59pp for what they have got, no idea where Delta are getting these prices from.
