Anyone book hotel using Orbitz?

I booked my last trip (April 2015) to the Yacht Club through orbitz and had no problems whatsoever. We paid for a standard view but got a room I think had to be a garden view. It overlooked the gazebo where they hold weddings and you could see the lake in the background. I was still able to do online check in and called a few days prior to make room requests. They were all honored. We used a coupon code through orbitz and saved about $50/night compared to what Disney was charging. I'd definitely use orbitz again.

Hi we have bought several times on Orbitz. The prices were so good we could not resist. Never had a single issue checking in. I did call to get my Disney resort Reservation #.....it's different than their # which enabled me to link the ressie. We also have been upgraded on all 3 separate vacations we used their service.

Well not Orbitz but we used Expedia for our last trip and all was fine.

I booked part of my last trip with them. No problems as such. You will have to go onto MDE and change your address, they get the Orbitz Chicago address for some reason, even after I changed it on that when I made ressies for the special safari at AKV they still showed that address. We decided to add an extra day to our trip and couldn't do it at the front desk since we went through Orbitz. Had to call Disney and make another reservation through them so a 2 way split stay turned into a 3 way one since we had to change rooms for the extra night. None of it was earth shattering though. You can not do any changes to your room through MDE like you can if you book it through Disney. If you want to change your room or nights, you have to cancel your first reservation and make a new one.

I used Orbitz for a trip in 2013. Had no problems what so ever. Did a split stay: Pop and CBR. Both reservations showed up on my Disney account. It was during the Magic Band test run at Pop, and everything synced up exactly as it should have. I would use Orbitz again for a Disney trip in a heartbeat.

At Pop we booked a standard room. Ended up with a very nice first floor pool view over by the 80s/90s area. At CBR we also booked a standard room. And were still able to log into the Disney site to do online check in and put in a few requests. It was all super easy and very well done.

We booked our March 2015 stay through Orbitz - was able to take advantage of the Disney sale on rooms plus an extra 15%. We also bought 5-day PH passes at a buy 3-day get 5-day sale price. While we were at the parks, we decided to upgrade to annual passes and were able to upgrade with no problem with credit for the 5-day price. Booked a standard room at POP - received 50's lake view room. Everything worked so well, we have booked 3 more trips through Orbitz (can still get the 15% discount - and free dining isn't a great deal for us).
