Anyone book Disney hotels on points with Embarc Vacation homes?

Some friends booked a Disney hotel with points via Embarc, and was told they cannot link their reservation to My Disney Experience. This doesn't sound right to me, since I've linked many third party reservations to MDE. Anyone have specific experience with this company? TIA!

We booked with Disney back when it was still Intrawest and linked the reservation. We were treated as DVC members when we were there and were allowed into the DVC lounge at the contemporary resort!

You need to call Disney as the codes are likely different. My parents had the same issue last year (they're EMBARC members.) It all was quickly sorted out
