Anyone besides me catch yourself...

Mom2Em-- LOVE Colin Firth-- he's dreamy!

TalkisCheap-- I agree about P&P, could watch it twice in one long, perfect day! Maybe with the Importance of Being Earnest in between. I think my DH might divorce me if I ever make him watch it again.... we negotiate-- Godfather trilogy for P&P. Glad I'm not the only one who loves it, my friends think I'm crazy.

lately 2 weeks notice has been on all the time on HBO (or atleast whenever I can't find something to watch), so I watch it. I have the movie almost memorized and I've only ever seen it on HBO.

tricia.

Another Jaws fan here...I can't pass it up if it's on.

Grease does that to me as well.

Pride and Prejudice (A&E) is a must...
I forgot about Grease... can say that word for word practically...
I do find the movies I do this with tend to be *fluff*... I guess it is just away to zone out for awhile... :)

Can't pass Sleepless in Seattle (and I don't even like it that much!) or Bull Durham. Funniest thing I ever did was: one Saturday morning, my husband at the time and I had a full day planned. I came downstairs ready to go and he was sitting in front of the TV staring at "Real World: Hawaii". They were running it as a marathon leading up to the season finale. We had NEVER watched any of the Real Worlds. He says, you gotta see this when the commercial's over...you won't believe it.

Eight hours later, we were exactly where we started. It was dark, we were hungry, and we'd gotten exactly NOTHING done that day!:p

The funny thing is, we never watched another episode after that, in any of the seasons. It's like we were hyponotized that day!!

A Christmas Story. (The one about Ralphie and the "air rifle".) When TNT does their 24 hour marathon in December, I spend WAY too much time watching. And I own the DVD!! It's a sickness. I can't explain it. (But based on the previous posts, I don't need to because you all suffer with it, too! :D )

Rain Man, Top Gun, Jerry Maguire (see a pattern here???LOL).
Wizzard of OZ.
FOrrest Gump.
Good Will Hunting.
Christmas Vacation. A Christmas Story (we own both of these!!).
Grease too.

Can watch them over and over and over again.

Yup "Beaches" with Barbara Hershey and Bette Midler.

I do that too. Dirty Dancing, Grease, Blues Brothers, Top Gun, Practical Magic, and of course disney movies.

We finally got DVD capabilities on our great room tv via the X-box, and we don't have cable. So I have my standbys when it's cleaning day and there's nothing on.

Ever After is my all time favorite. I'm not very good at sitting and watching a movie, so having one on I know by heart is good. I stop and watch the really good scenes, and then just listen from other areas of the house (I see the pictures I know so well in my head).
