Anyone Been Weekend Before Christmas?

In reading and reading I still can't seem to find much definitive information regarding crowds on the weekend before Christmas. There does seem to be a pattern that Sunday is typically less crowds that Saturday (maybe negligible) but does that hold true for weekend before Christmas. My logic says most families going on vacation that week, will be traveling either Sat or Sun. So on Sun, you have people that already arrive on Sat. On Sat you don't have the people that are arriving on Sat (or Sun). But then it appears Friday and Saturday nights are most popular with the local season pass holders.

So...

We are not only trying to pick which weekend day to go (Sat the 18th or Sun the 19th) but also determine if Express Pass is worth it. The consensus on the pass is wait until you get there. But I can't see any consensus on which day is better.

According the website, the cost of the EP for that weekend are $25.99/one park EP...which is next to the cheapest price available. The cost of the EP is determined by the anticipated crowds for that day. Since IOA is open until 9pm that weekend and the Studios is open until 7pm moderate crowds should be expected. This is based on the EP price also.
