We've been to Seaworld in Orlando several times and really enjoy it. My brother works for Universal and can get us into SW free so we've probably gone 4-5 times. We are headed to San Antonio for April break and are just wondering if we should go to SW there as well. Just not sure if is worth it (no free passes in SA). I've read that the shows are pretty similar as are some of the rides. Has anyone been to both and can provide some insight? Wondering if we should just do Aquatica instead. Our kids are 13, 12, and 8.

SeaWorld San Antonio is a bigger park (land wise) than Orlando, but has fewer attractions. We lived 10 minutes away and had passes for several years when we lived in San Antonio. It is a beautiful park, but it is undergoing extensive renovations, so check their website to see which attractions will be open. They are adding a DiscoveryCove type attraction that should be open soon, and if you are there on a weekend Aquatica will be open. Aquatica is in the park at SeaWorld San Antonio but requires a separate admission. There as a large children's area that is Sesame Street themed with a splash area and several kiddie rides, 2 large roller coasters, a river ride and Nautilus, which is similar to the Orlando ride. It is a great park and a great way to spend a day! Let me know if you have any SW or San Antonio questions. We just recently moved away and I am happy to help! You might be able to catch Fiesta since you are traveling in April. So much fun!

Thanks so much! We are traveling during Fiesta (April 18-25). Our plan is to spend 3 nights in the city at the Riverwalk (doing the Japanese Gardens, Tower of America, Riverwalk, Hemisfair Park, the zoo, Alamo, and Fiesta events). We are then moving to the Hyatt Hill Country for 4 nights. We are trying to decide what to do there-probably somewhat based on weather. Looking at tubing in New Braunfels, visiting Gruene, Seaworld, Aquatica, Six Flags, and/or Schlitterbahn. Would love any input on our plan and anything we should/should not miss.
