Anyone been to Sci-Fi Dine In lately?

I've been avoiding this place since a rather unappetizing meal some years ago, but the latest menu looked pretty decent so we were thinking of giving it a try. Is the food as good as it looks on the menu or should we just head ove to Prime Time instead?

We ate dinner there last month and everyone in our party really enjoyed it! The adults all had reubens or ribs which were great!:thumbsup2

We went in November, and while the food isn't nasty, it's not the bestest ever. It's on par with like Chilis or Applebees. I had the salad and it was fine, and my husband had, I believe, ribs and he thought they were decent enough. Not the best dining experience, but it's still fun for the ambiance.

I say 50's Prime Time. I hae been to both several times, although SciFi has a great atmosphere, the food is not worth the money. Prime Time has great food and great atmosphere, I think it is the better choice.

DH and I enjoy both, although we've been skipping 50's PT the past few trips.

I enjoyed Sci-Fi last time I went. I had a chicken sandwich that was fresh, the chicken was cooked well and it was delicious! I would recommend going, it's a great relaxing break in the dark a/c!

I went to 50's Prime Time also, my friends and I found it over priced and the menu limited (and not preferable to us...didn't want a big meatloaf or chicken dinner and then have to go back out in the heat!) We preferred our experience at Sci-Fi!

I love sitting in the little cars and watching the movies. Really love it. So when I say that when we ate there 2 months ago and had the worst food of my life, I say it with a heavy heart. I am not a picky eater and I love food but I could not eat that turkey sandwich and side salad. The bread was very stale on the sandwich and the side salad had very unripe pieces of fruit in it. I've never thought the food was all that great here but this most recent trip went from not good to absolutely awful.

We had burgers, fries, and onion rings in November, and everything was good. I knew going in, we were going for the atmosphere - which we loved. I would definately go back.

we ate there a week ao and had a good time and the food was fine, not too fancy but tasty. bring with a jacket however, it tends to be cold in there.

When we went to Sci-Fi last summer the chick sandwiches were cold and not very good.

We did like the appetizers. My wife liked the dip and I liked the BLT soup. Others got the O-rings and liked them.

The service was very, very slow also.

On the plus side the atmosphere is always pretty cool, but we are going to skip this place from now on. There are too many other options, even in other parks and resorts.

For me to complain about the food, it must have been pretty bad.

I haven't been there very recently, but we tried lunch there last July. I didn't like it; my burger was overcooked to the point of disgusting, and my fries should have been labeled "Mashed Potatoes" on the menu instead. I ordered a vanilla Diet Coke (they mix in the syrup at the restaurant; you can't actually get the Vanilla Coke in a can) that was so sugary it made me gag. Our waitress was rude, and extremely slow; she seemed more interested in talking to the other employees instead of taking care of the customers. The only thing good about this place was the atmosphere; it was very original and unique. I really hope the Sci-Fi ups the quality of its food and service because then it would be a top dining destination. :)

I say go and get a meal to split to just enjoy the atmosphere. My son and I both love it there so we make an early lunch reservation(11:30), get one meal- no appetizer of dessert- and split it- pay OOP if on dining plan. That is what we will be doing again this fall. Later on we still still have our dining credit left so we have reservations for dinner somewhere else. The atmosphere is just really cool in there.
