Never been but will be there 10/8 and can't wait
there is an ongoing thread at the top of te page that
has all sorts of wonderful info on the party
Check it out and have fun if you decide to go:D

Last year was my first time and will be going again on the 14th , Yes it is definetly worth it.

There is a whole thread w/ almost 1000 posts now stuck at the top of this board. It has all the MNSSHP info a person could want.

We went for our first time in 2003. We are making a quick trip next week which was born from the idea of going to MNSSHP.

Well, how old is he? If he enjoys Disney AND Halloween, then he'll LOVE it!

There's the decorations and music that you will not see any other time at WDW. There's the parade shown twice which is worth the price of admission itself! Then there's the trick or treating, people all dressed up, characters out in droves and just the wonderful Halloween atmosphere!

I say it's worth it! What's better than Halloween at MK!!??!!

We went to MNSSHP for the first time last year and really had a great time!!!! We were able to take our time walking around the park, riding the rides, and letting my daughter go trick or treating. She loved meeting the characters too! (She dressed up as Princess Aurora and was thrilled to meet Princess Aurora outside the castle!!! Well worth it to me!!!

If you do decide to go, take your time and enjoy!! I think your godson will have a great time!!!

We're going back for MVMCP this year - a definite "must do" if you're visiting around Christmas!

Have a great trip!

My family has been to the past 3 and wll be going again this year. If you plan on visiting Disney, this is a great way to see Magic Kingdom. Based upon past experiences, you can get on rides faster and the halloween experience is a great experience.

This will be our 4th MNSSHP and we are really looking forward to it. IMO, this is the best event Disney puts on. I would not miss it. They give you a bag to trick or treat with around the park. Everyone gets a free picture taken at numerous areas in the park. The parade and special fireworks are not to be missed. My now 5 y/o DD has been going for 4 years and this is all she talks about. We plan an October trip specifically for MNSSHP.

We went last year and we are going again this year. We loved it. The decorations are wonderful. The parade was neat, although a little short. We loved having our fortunes read and getting our faces painted for free. The best part was seeing everyones costumes.

sorry, forgot to mention that he is only 2 years old...

so, i was wondering if maybe he may not understand what is going on... he doesn't get scared easily though. when we first brought him there when he was 1, we thought he might have gotten scared at the characters or the fireworks. all he did was want to pull on mickey's head and want more fireworks after they were finished.

thank you for the info!!

There really isn't anything scary at the party. Main Street is so neat looking when it's transformed. They have these sillouettes of witches, ghosts, and goblins going across the Main St buildings. There are werewolf howlings in the background. There are cornstalks and bales of hay everywhere. They have these giant pumpkins balloons at all the trick or treat areas so they are easily found. There are the same balloons at the gates of MK. There are two different parades. One is in Fantasyland that kids get to all march around and make their own parade. The actual parade is fantastic! It was called the "Boo to You" parade and had all the characters dressed up in Halloween costumes. The headless horseman starts the parade by riding a horse through the parade route. I didn't think this parade was short at all. It was so cute and definitely our favorite parade. Cinderella's carriage is at thte castle and it all lit up ahd has all these pumpkins and vines around it. Looks beautful! Cinderella is there too for great pics of her beside her carriage. There is just so much going on and is well worth the price.

Just wanted to say we have gone to MNSSHP several times now, the first time my daughter was 2. She had a wonderful time until the very end when my son was trying to get a picture with the Big Bad Wolf. My daughter was clearly afraid and didn't want to be next to him in the picture (all night long she was fine with the characters as long as my son was in between her in the charcater). The Big Bad Wolf would have none of that, he wanted to be right next to her and chased my 2 year old daughter around the park while she cried and screamed. I of course went chasing after them and picked her up and the BBW went on to terrorize someone else. I was so angry that night because other than that we had a wonderful experience and it sort of spoiled it for us.

My kids are now 7 and 8 and we are going again this year. But every year they bring up what happend that first year.
