Anyone been to DLR VMK central lately?

I was just wondering if anyone has been to Disneyland since Monday Dec 5, 2005?
I have a couple of questions before my family goes.

1. Are they for sure giving out the pirate prize packs upon completion of all the quests?
2. Are the print outs from the fireworks game and jungle cruise still valid ?
3. Do you have to hand in a different set of quest answers for each person in the group?

If anyone can help it would truly be appreciated. There is so much going on with all the changes I just wanted verification before I sent my family there!
They are totally clueless to all of this and I literally am sending them with a sheet of directions! LOL

I was there on 12/1. They only gave the pirate prize pack after we did the insider tour and only at the end of it. Someone, not in my party, appeared to have successfully redeemed a Pirates code (you're talking about the one that you print at home and bring in, right?). For number 3, we only had to turn in one set of questions, but there was only two of us so I don't know if they'd get picky for more than that. I do know that we were told that they weren't going to be giving away any more Insider Tour cards. If you need one, PM me and I'll give you mine.

With the recent events happening I don't know if you will just be given the pirates stuff or take the tour! You might have an choice! FOR SURE you will be getting pirates stuff because the haunted mansion hasn't been changed. Yes, they still redeem jungle cruise and fireworks coupons. They redeem all of them! And only take 1 quest for your whole group. So 1 fantasyland, frontierland, adventureland and tomorrowland for all of you! When you redeem your quests they will just give each of you your own set of cards. Cause it's a team effort! Have fun at the park!

I've been there a few times since things started changing at DLR. As of 11/30 they are no longer giving out Tour Cards for completing the 4 quests. You will be given the 7 Pirate Quest cards, 2 Adventureland cards, BTMR Teleporter card. They have these prebundled and give them to you with the rest other 12 quest cards.

As long as the coupons from the game don't duplicate a prize that you got for the Quests you will get it. So Tent room from Jungle Cruise game will be awarded. Bracelets from the Pirates or Fireworks game will not be given again since you won one for completing Quests. Was there something beside the bracelet that you got from Fireworks? Don't know what game coupons you have. Basically you will be awarded one particular prize every 90 days, regardless of how you won it.

As was mentioned before you only need to fill out one set of Quest cards. Don't know when you downloaded the Tomorrowland Quest, but you might want to get the version that is posted now. They changed answers to Question 5. Proper answer was changed to 'A Christmas Party', but last week some of the CMs wern't aware of the change. The other answer that should be accepeted is 'A Birthday'. There was a version about a week ago that had the old Question 7 which you couldn't answer. Just make sure that Question 7 has 21 as an answer.

I went on Saturday (Two days ago) I had a reward coupon for tour from the Hiddenmickey game. They gave us a tour card for it. They wont give out tour cards for completing quests but will give you a tour card if you complete hidden mickey in VMK. They DO give out pirate cards to everyone who completes all four quests and dont get on the tour.

We cashed in Pirates high score and Jungle cruise rewards no problem.

We shared our card with two of us and we both got rewards.

Was there something beside the bracelet that you got from Fireworks?

Yes you can get a pink Nemo chair for making the top ten of fireworks.

It kind of bites that you can't go on the tour anymore. I guess i was one of the few that got to go on it at DLR before the giving of cards. But once the holiday overlay is taken off the haunted mansion will they bring back tour? with haunted mansion quest?

Unfortunately it is my cousin's family that is going. I am just using them as "mules"!

LilLisaLou , thank you so much for the offer. They already told me they are not going on the tour as they are not VMK addicted like I am! I have tour cards but if they can get the prizes for me without " wasting " their time ( at least that is what they said! LOL ) that would be better for them!

All the Tour Cards I have expire at the end of 2005. The virtual prize which I assume is the VIP code must be redeemed by the end of September 2006. Same time as all the other virtual prizes. So something new would have to be introduced for tours to happen again.

Coasterguy, when you went on the tour, did you have the chance to win the other Jungle Cruise cards, the hippo pool, the tent room, the supplies poster? did you get the gold set at the end of the tour? Or did they just give you the pre-bundled package and that was it?

The tours are unchanged. During the Jungle Cruise you can answer the trivia and get the Adventureland stuff. I managed to win the Hippo rug this time. You get a chance to win the BTMR Teleporter during the Big Thunder ride and our gude asked trivia questions for the 500 credit cards. We ALL got the Gold set at the end of the tour.

The prebundled set is given out for completing the 4 quests or if you have an existing tour card and just want to trade it in.

If anyone is planning on trading in Tour cards make sure you save the VIP code. I had one CM keep my card and another that voided it out and gave it back to me.

Do you have Tour cards or did you manage to get the new Mickey PDF?

Well, my 90 days are finally up, so I can do the quests again. That's why I was wondering if the gold set was included in the bundled prize pack.

So from what you're saying, it sounds like you should be able to get the Pirate Quest items without having to go on the Insider Tour; you just need to complete the 4 quests and you'll get them prebundled?

This might work out nicely for people that are pressed for time or can't get on the tour.

Hi, I've been MIA for the last few days due to my work schedule, but i went to Disneyland on Wed., and here is what happened. First of all, all the CM's were super nice. (a big change from any other time I 've ever been there). I turned in the four quests and a couple of pdf's and got all the quest cards, the bundle of pirate cards and the pdf's I turned except the Hidden Mickey Tour card. They would not redeem that because they are no longer handing out tour cards, and I just got the pirate quest pack from doing the quests, so again the hidden mickey tour card pdf is what I consider a 'non-prize'. I did also have an unused tour card, and the same CM had no problem letting me on the tour with it. Go figure. Anyway the hidden Mickey tour card pdf has always been a useless prize in my opinion, since you could always get the same prize by doing the four quests and they would not let you redeem it if you had already gotten the prize from the four quests. I'm glad they changed it to the gold collection, especially since they are giving out the pirate prize pack for ding the four quests now.

One interesting thing our tour guide said during the tour, was that PUSH the talking trash can MIGHT be the new NPC for tomorrowland. Sorry if this has already been posted, I haven't been on line for a few days.
