I am just trying to make sure there is food my picky DH will eat. This is the menu on allears:
PREMIUM SALAD BAR AND SOUR DU JOUR
Today's Soup: Chicken and Corn Chowder

ON THE CARVING BOARD
Spice Rubbed Prime Rib & Oven-Roasted Bone-in Ham

CHEF'S BUFFET SPECIALS OF THE DAY
Madeira Wild Mushroom Beef Tips
Orange Teriyaki Chicken
Tamarind Glazed Salmon with Pesto and Wasabi Mango Coulis
Penne Pasta with Chicken and Italian Sausage Florentine

WONDERFUL ACCOMPANIMENTS
Parmesan Mashed Potatoes
Mickey Cheese Ravioli and Marinara Sauce
Rice with Peas
Garlic Steamed Broccoli Polonaise
Mandarin Orange Glazed Baby Carrots

CHILDREN'S FAVORITES
Chef Mickey's Macaroni and Cheese
Goofy's Cheese Pizza
Minnie's Vegetables
Chip & Dale's Tender Chicken

How accurate is this?

The menu is very accurate. We have eaten at Chef Mickey's six times since 1999 and the food has always been that exact menu! I think the only thing that changes is the soup of the day. The desserts are pretty varied and good also. :thumbsup2 You can't go too wrong with the prime rib and mashed potatoes. There are also an assortment of rolls/breads and peel and eat shrimp on the salad bar. My DH and I think Chef Mickeys is just O.K. food wise but DD13 and DS6 think it is a must do every trip. If you've never done it before, it's definitely worth going just for the fun atmosphere and experience.:goodvibes

Ate there 6/6/07 and that menu look right. I don't like strange food and I found plenty to eat. The roast beef and ham were very good and there are plenty of sides to go along with it. Salad bar was grest and had a variety of premade salads as well as amake your own type. Save room for deserts! Our group of 5 loved it.

We ate there on Saturday night, May 12. They have BBQ ribs every Saturday, according to our server. The ribs were great. I don't remember there being ham on the carving board. I do know that there was also chicken and fish. The soup was beef barley (I remember this because I was disappointed that they didn't have the chicken corn chowder like I've had there in the past!)

We've eaten at Chef Mickey's 5 times now for dinner, and this time was probably our least favorite. The food was ok. Just ok. It's always been our first night tradition, but I think we'll be changing it next time and starting a new tradition!

Thanks, I have it one time already booked. But thinking of cancelling LTT and switching to another Chef Mickey's ADR. I might try Kona Cafe but I know the kids will like CM instead

The carving board rotates between turkey, ham, prime rib, and lamb. The soup changes, and the Chef's picks change. The Mickey ravioli is so good!

I was at Chef Mickeys last weekend, and it was the worst meal I've ever had there - and I've been going to CM's for 10 years or so now.

The server was very nice, the characters came around. But the salad bar was pretty much decimated, I went to the other side to get salad - that side was looking pretty shabby too. I didn't try the prime rib, and the menu above wasn't quite what is listed above (no beef tips, etc.). The food I had was okay - but not as good as in the past. CM's used to have a really great chocolate mousse type cake, which wasn't there anymore (the last time I was there was last year I think, and it was there then). I was going to go in September, but I won't be. This experience was just okay - it wouldn't be on my "recommend" list anymore if based on this experience.

They did have a very nice soup - tomato florentine, I think. I didn't hate the restaurant, I just didn't think it lived up to many previous meals (and I was paying cash, and it wasn't worth the $$ -even with my DDE discount).

They have BBQ ribs every Saturday, according to our server. The ribs were great.

Awesome to hear... I have an ADR for Sat, Sept 1, and I love Ribs.... Happen to know if they are Beef Ribs or Pork ribs??? I am hoping for Pork, as I cant eat beef...

We were there on June 9 and the menu is pretty accurate. There was pork instead of ham. Also, there were "Southern Style Ribs", but don't know if they were beef or pork. We thought it was pretty good, but not delicious. Our kids thought the mac and cheese was the best at WDW; it was the kind that had Mickey characters in it (not the traditional that's served everywhere else). There were so many desserts to pick from! They had Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald. Not sure how soon we'll return.

We were there June 2 and it was our first time. The soup was beef barley, no ham, no beef tips. I don't remember rice with peas... I had a terrible stomach ache so nothing was too appealing. My DH went nuts for the raw shrimp...

Overall, it was okay compared to all the other TS's we experienced on our trip. Goofy never came to our side of the restaurant but Minnie and Donald came twice! It was still a nice experience for the kids.

I'm no rib expert, but I'm pretty sure they were pork ribs! :thumbsup2

We eat there in May would not rush back there.
