Anyone Been on Mission Space Lately

Everyone is different, so take each reply for what its worth. For me, I had no problems with it and enjoyed the ride but didnt get all the fuss. My brother, OTOH, didnt get sick but was a bit off for quite some time after the ride.

I was worried(don't like spining rides), but my DS wanted me to go, so we went first thing in the am and I was fine.

Incredible ride, especially when you launch past the moon.

However, there was a poor teenager, cashing in her breakfast at a trash can, on the way out.

I got sick on Body Wars....do you think Mission Space would bother me? I usually fine on everything except for simualtors and the Tea Cups. I didn't go on Mission Space last time because I was too scared I would get sick. But I'm wondering if I would be OK or not? :rotfl:

Our family did it in February and none of us will do it again - and we ride every other ride in Disney. I just felt off - but my daughter and husband really didn't feel good the whole day - We had to leave Epcot. It ruined our day. And we followed all the rules - look straight ahead, etc.

At the risk of being a "Ditto" poster. I would heartly agree with those that are telling you to "follow the directions" on the ride. I went on this ride multiple times last April. I was only affected by the ride the one time I decided to test the G-Forces by lifting my head off the seat back.

Head back, eyes forward at the screen is the way to go. Everyone's nausea level is different, but I found that if my head was back and eyes were forward I was fine.

Also, in case you have not already found out, the intense spinning only happens at one or two points of the ride, not the entire time. Of course if you are prone to motion sickness, then all you need is once, I guess.

Personally, I would recommend this ride as a must see. And I would agre with the people who say that kids appear to be less prone (in general) than adults. My son went with my wife and I'll give you one guess which of the two came off a little "green around the gills".

I would not recommend it for you. I was fine on the launch part of the ride. The second half of the ride killed me. It ended just in time. It felt like body wars only worse because you are closed in the capsule and have to keep looking at the screen. What saves me in star tours/body wars is I can look away from the movie if it starts to get to me.
