I've seen the rumors on here that people have "heard" of people who were asked for additional funds at check-in after paying for a package in full.
Disney reservation fine print clearly allow for this...
"In addition, Disney reserves the right to cancel or modify a reservation (including after a reservation has been confirmed) if the reservation includes or resulted from a mistake or error of any kind, including but not limited to a mistake in price or description of the package or package components, or where it appears that a Guest has engaged in fraudulent or misleading activity in making the reservation. If a package is cancelled by Disney, Disney shall have no responsibility beyond the refund of monies paid to Disney for the package."
This concerned me last year because I called and was told I had a pin in my name but never actually received a pin code. According to the above statement, Disney could have deemed that the CM who booked the package made a "mistake" and either cancelled my package or charged me the additional money. However, I went on my vacation and paid the price quoted.
This has happened again to me this year. I was quoted a vacation at 40% off even though I didn't actually have a pin in hand.
SOOOO long story short. Has anyone had a situation where Disney actually went though with this threat? I personally think it's crazy since if their CMs make a booking mistake...they should take the loss. But I don't want to take advantage of this offer, get to Disney and be told that I owe another $1200!
