The CM I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about a set-menu or some special viewing area for Illuminations.

Does anyone know if this is all confirmed or still just rumors??

And, does everyone eat at the same time for CP packages? Our dinner is at 5:20pm for the 8:15pm show; is this normal? Do we just wonder around, or do you go directly to the line for the show after dinner?

:confused3

Call back and speak to a more knowledgable CM.

We had a 5:30 reservation last year for the 8:15 and had to get in line right after our dinner at Tutto ended because the package holder line already stretched all the way back to Japan.

Don't know about the viewing area for Illuminations although I read a little blurb about it.

We are also going to the 8:15 show and our reservations are at 5:00. I really didn't want to eat that early, but the CM told me that was so we wouldn't be rushed, could enjoy our dinner and would have to walk. We're eating in France.

Is it guaranteed that you get in with a CP package though? I will plan on heading over right after dinner, but we definitely get seats right? My luck, we wouldn't... :rotfl:

I assume they don't sell more CP packages for any particular show than will fit in the theatre. So from that standpoint, you have a seat. But if you show up too late, you most likely will not - because they let in the standby people at some point.

The CMs I've been talking to about the CP have said there are set menus, but not very limiting - one CM said some menus will have additional offerings that regular menu diners can't get, but that depends on the restaurant. Our 8:15 viewing meal is at 5:20 also. Some of the other restaurants I considered had dining times from 5pm-5:45pm, so I think they are trying to feed everyone between 4:45-6pm for the 8:15 show.

As for the Illuminations, the CMs have all said that there is a special section just for CP badge holders and when our 8:15 show is over, we can go over to that reserved area to view Illuminations and they are supposed to be great viewing areas.

And yes, if you have a badge, you will have a seat, as long as you are there before the show starts. They will release reserved seats at 5min before the CP starts to non-CP pkg guests.

We have a 5:45 ressie for the 8:15 show...we are eating at Marrakesh. I hope we don't end up feeling rushed. Our CM said that we had priority seating and wouldn't need to line up any earlier than 30 min. before show time. Do you think this is accurate? Our date is on 12/4.

Nope, I don't think that's accurate. Why?? Because I've done the CP dining pkg for the past 6 years now. And every year, the line gets longer and longer. Last year, we finished eating and wandered over towards the theater. It was about 7:20..the line was huge. We got in line right then. So we stood there for well over 30 mins. There were a ton of people that arrived 15 mins later and they were waaaay back in the line.

That was our experience as well. I don't know what time we finished our 5:30 dinner - let's say it was 7. We planned on doing some shopping in Japan with our DS. By the time we hit the theatre and kept walking - the line already reached back to the front of the department store in Japan, so we got in it. By that time, I'm thinking it was 45 minutes, maybe a little more before the show at 8:15. And we were WAY back in the line obviously! We did get in and we thought our seats were fine - in the middle, but probably 2/3 of the way back. If you see an aerial view - we sat right near some of the trees that are in the theatre seating.

wow, that's earlier than i thought for the late show. guess i will be going to the late one after all.

Our dinner is 3:30PM for the 6:45PM show (France) 12/11
