Anyone Been to Pinegrove Dude Ranch in NY?

I heard it was wonderful - and you can't beat the price (after spending 6k on Disney , 1500 all inclusive looks like peanuts!)

We made ressies for July!
They have a website that looks great too!

My DS17 is there right now on his senion class trip. He's called twice so far and says he is having a ball! He just got back to his room from paintball in the woods, and said that there is karaoke everynight and free snacks (burgers and fries) until 10 pm. All meals are included and ther'es horsebackriding and snow sports. Sounds like a future spot for a family vacation!

I am going there with DD's girl scout troop in April We have been doing lots of " money earning opportunities" (can't call it fund-raising ) , and the troop has earned enough to pay each girl's way for a weekend at the ranch

Does anyone remember the original Pine Grove? I'm talking 30 years ago.....when I was in college, we went on a ski trip to Pine Grove and there was a terrible fire. It was horrible.

this trip was because DD - 8 really wants horse riding lessons because her best friend has them! It looked relaxing for adults (which DH wants after our DIS trip was NOT very relaxing!)

KTeacher - wow what a great experience for the girl scouts - Juniors I assume. Do they give a discount rate for GS? My DD will go to Juniors next year (4 years in GS already), and I have a feeling that she may need a new leader (after one year of Brownie leader - I don't know if I want to go there - I would have to find a REALLY good assistant. My DS was 2 at the time and I had an assistant who did NOTHING! it was a very bad experience.)

Aisling- That was a great idea for a senior trip! When I was in high school everyone went to 'beach week' zzzzzzz I didn't even go ! I would have loved something like that though! I'm glad to hear that they are having a blast!

WE are currently booked for July 13th-18th but I am considering upping it to a 7 day vaca! That is why I was hoping someone on the DIS had been there!
