I will be going down next year the first week of March. I am trying to schedule it between the Febuary vacations and Spring breaks.

Just wondering how were the crowds and wait times and the weather?

Thank you!

We were there last week feb and first week of march.
I felt the first week of March was quieter than last week Feb. We usually are opening the park kind of people, but as the vacation went on, we were more tired. So we started spending mornings at the pool (weather was high70's low 80's, and in fact, up to 87 by the day we left) and going to the parks after lunch. Even going midday, we had little or no wait for most things, and fastpass worked for the few lines there were. I would definately recommend the first week of March. Of note, 4 years ago we went the first week of March as well, and again, low crowds and beautiful weather. I think that trip, I didn't wear a sweatshirt even once!

I was there March 1-5. It was a great time to go and would go back at the same time the next time I go. Lines were very short except for a couple of the popular ones. Most lines a 10 min. wait and there were one or two at Magic Kingdom with an hour wait but they were Fast Pass rides. There weather was around 85 everyday and not a drop of rain. Hope this helps a little bit. If you have any more questions feel free to e-mail me.

and felt it was great!! Little waits, except for a few popular rides (Splash, Test Track,) but Fastpass worked wonders for those rides. Good weather, partly cloudy - mid 80's after 3/1. I would go back during those times in a heartbeat, however I had to pull both kids out of school for 6 days and with ODS going into 6th grade in Sept, him missing that much school time is not an option.

just returned from a 2/28 to 3/7 vacation.

Great, Great, Great weather. (mid to upper 80's all days with a nice breeze most days - no rain to speak of except while we slept.)

low crowds (working off my experience of mid sept, mid oct, mid to late Aug, Presidents week, and mid June - i would say that crowd-wise, the first week in March was comparable to mid Oct with mid Sept being favorite time. This may change depending on where Easter falls in the year. It is later this year this year so a longer break between pres week and some schools spring breaks.)

Did i mention that the weather was GREAT!!!!!

Would i go again the first week in March - you bet! As a matter of fact, i am hoping to do so next year. (it corresponds with Bike Week in Daytona and my DH and DS are HUGE motocross/supercross fans.)

I think Easter is March 27 next year, so that may move some school breaks closer. In CT where DH teaches, and DS15 attends school our break is timed to Patriots' Day, the third Monday in April. Hmm--that'll mean low crowds then. Maybe another trip to plan?

We got back on the 7th. It was a PERFECT week. The parks weren't very crowded. We never waited more than 15 minutes (although we did use FP a few times). It did get pretty crowded (at least at MK) on Saturday, but I suppose some spring breaks started then. The weather was gorgeous!!

The last time we went for the first week in March, the weather started out rather chilly, so I know it's no guarantee at this time of year.

Enjoy your planning!!!
