We were there on Oct 20 and here's how our night went...
Yes, it was CROWDED, but we steered clear of Main St, the dance party areas, and Toontown (until the end of the night) and the rest was definitely manageable.
We got to MK about 4:45. We had planned to take the train to Frontierland and start the evening off on Tom Sawyer Island, but it was HOT HOT HOT, so instead we opted for some a/c and headed straight for the Tiki Room, stopping on Main Street to listen to the Dapper Dans for a few minutes on the way. After the Tiki Room we stopped for icecream, followed by the Jungle Cruise, Ned's R/C Boats, Pirates, and the Treehouse. All were walk-ons except Pirates, which was having technical difficulties, so the 5 minute posted wait time ended up being about 25, but it was air conditioned so we didn't care.
It was close to party time by then, so we headed to Haunted Mansion to start the party off there, and on the way we stopped to listen to a quartet near the Riverboat, not sure who they were. At 7:00 the Haunted Mansion was a walk-on, and on the way out we saw the photopass guy setting up and no one was in line yet, so we got our pics taken in front of the mansion before heading to Fantasyland.
In Fantasyland we hit Small World, Peter Pan, the Carousel, Philharmagic, and Snow White... again, no waits for any of those. Then we headed to Toontown to have our faces painted, stopping at a treat station on the way. The wait for face painting was about 15 minutes, and when we were finished there we hit another treat station then headed for Main Street to watch the fireworks.
After the fireworks we picked up food at Casey's and sat on the curb to wait for the 2nd parade. As soon as the parade was over we walked to Adventureland to do the treat trek. We saw a photopass guy on the way, so we stopped to get our pics taken in front of the castle. Then after the treat trail we headed to the back of the park to ride Big Thunder Mountain, which was a walk-on. It was about 11:30 at that point so we decided to walk back to Toontown to do the treat trail there, stopping at the Riverboat treat station on the way, which was totally deserted, and to ride Barnstormer because it was also a walk-on at that point (it had a 30 minute wait earlier in the night when Toontown was a madhouse). So we ended the night walking through Alice's empty treat trail, then we headed to Main Street for a little shopping.
