Anyone at BLT? Updated rooms.?

getting anxious. I would like to hear or see some updated room photos.. I know there was a post several weeks ago mentioning the construction crew....leaving next week. Anxious to know if the grand villas has new carpet. And new paint job!

We just stayed on Thursday in room 8411. It was refurbished. However. The cold water was hot and vice versa on the washing machine. The tv was still the old style. They no longer have alarm clocks, we like to have a clock in easy view. No DVD player and that was a fiasco to get, well we never did even after a request because they could never find the remote for it and no buttons on it to manually play. The front desk staff took well care of us though because of this, as we are talking about 22 hours before we said forget the whole thing.

We did notice some notice from above at around 9am. That's where they were currently working.

I was really upset. One reason we chose the one bedroom was to help with laundry before. Maybe a little shrinkage on some. Not sure any recourse though. I did report the issue though.

Sorry to hear about the problems. The switched water lines on the washers is ridiculous, they should be sending a plumber to check and fix them immediately.

Any chance that you provide photos of the room?

Wait, no DVD players? Grumble. Wife and I will have a few long nights if that's the case. We like to go to Community Hall and get a movie or two for the evenings while the little guy is sleeping. I could understand this if they had decent wifi and things could stream easily OR if they had a closed circuit movie channel on property, but this makes no sense. Wonder what they do with them when they remove them.

I don't like this removing of items that they already have in the rooms. DVD, clocks. IF they are there just leave them IMO.

Thanks for the update. Fingers crossed about the grandvilla we are assigned to will be redone. I will be there a few days in advance. I may swing over and ask if they are done or for a refurb room

I don't understand removing perfectly working items either, especially the DVD players.

I'm headed to BLT next month & not happy to hear they no longer have alarm clocks or DVD players. I like having a clock next to the bed at night, so I know what time it is, when I wake up. My family enjoys getting movies from the Community Hall to watch at night. I don't understand removing these items.

I went over today and asked...no grandvillas have been redone. I see that they are in the south tower working on ground level right now... So I am slight my disappointed. Tried to get early room they said most likely no. Tried to get north tower. He made a phone call. Nothing promised. Oh well I am sure we will love it

There was no DVR in my BWV studio last December or in my Poly studio last month. Possibly due to the design of the murphy bed cabinet. No clocks either.

I wish they would bring back DVRs & alarm clocks or have enough for everyone that requests one.

At least at the Poly with the way the nightstands have an outlet for a USB port and a separate shelf you can place your cell phone there while it is charging during the night and be able to see the time that way. I worked out very well for us when we stayed at PVB last December.

Currently staying in a renovated one-bedroom on the 11th floor. I am very impressed. Similar color scheme as before but with more muted colors. They have also touched up scratches and things like that. It feels like a brand new room. I think you guys will be very happy.
