If so, and you see 2 elderly people looking very lost, confused, and hungry PLEASE be nice to them. My parents are going to be at BC for the first time and I'm so nervous for them. They're going on their first trip, so excited, but they have no clue, I don't think. They're sure they won't need ECVs, no problem walking (they think), but I really think they don't know how much walking's involved. They don't want to "waste their time" doing shows, just rides, rides, rides, all day. My gosh-the thought of that schedule tires me out! And they didn't want to make any ADR's-they're sure they can get something to eat whenever they're hungry. And today they told me how they're planning to go to AK on Wednesday and weren't at all scared by it being crowded. Wednesday, with EMH hours, during spring break week? Oh, gosh-I hope they enjoy this trip!

Your parents sound like adventurous, fun loving people. I'm sure they will have a wonderful time and make the most of their stay. BTW when you say "elderly" what does that mean?

Sorry, some people think my age when they say elderly and that really gets me upset. My parents are about 80 yo, hopefully that's OK as elderly. The problem is that my parents, especially my mother, has a much more optimistic view of her abilities than the reality is.

When is Spring Break for you?? I remember going near to Easter and people complaining at the bus that they weren't able to make reservations.

It sounds like they want an adventure - good on them but if you're worried you could always make some reservations for them and tell them to cancel them if they don't need them.

Mind you, they're at a great place for finding food with the Boardwalk and the World Pavillion on their doorstep.

Let us know how they get on. We're there in a week so we'll keep an eye out for the surrey bike with two seniors coming hurtling past us :thumbsup2

OMG, Mom on a surrey bike! She has severe osteoporosis and her doctor doesn't want her to walk long distances. Her solution? Don't tell him she's going to WDW!
They'll be there 3/15-3/19.

I know someone else posted about their parents going during spring break time last year. Didn't make ADR's, going to parks that had early EMH. The post trip report wasn't pretty.

I hope they can go with the flow, which is good for busy times.

We will be there the same time as your parents. I'll keep a look out for them!

I personally think it is awesome that they are going and have that type of mentality! Please let us know how the trip goes for them. I for one love to see seniors that still have that vitality and will to do this. even if the body isn't as able. I'm sure they will take frequent rests. I hope their trip is magical even without ADR's. My family was complaining about having ADR's for dinner each night we were there last. Luckily they will be able to find CS there. i just hope that others are careful around them. That is what makes me nervous.

She sounds like a scream, I'm sure that they'll have a great time. We're over at BWV 3/16 - 3/21 so I'll give Simba's Grandparents a wave and I'll be watching out for the influx of 'em Texans!! Great mix with the amount of Canucks that will be down there too.

I still would be tempted to book at least one ADR to make sure they have one lovely sit-down meal.

We will be there the same time and will look out for them. We took my aunt and uncle two years, both who are in their 80's and they had a ball. Almost walked us into the ground. I am sure that they will have fun.
