We were there on 10/6 during
MNSSHP. Arrived at the party at 4:15 so we were ready for a nice dessert break at 8:30. Got in line, received wrist bands and a little piece of paper with our assigned table area. We were brought to our reserved table (with our family name on it), got settled and immediately headed for the buffet which is set up back (and up a short ramp) away from the tables.
The desserts were plentiful and tasty and were constantly replenished. My grandson wanted to try a mango shooter but we couldn't find any. A CM overheard his conversation and told him that they only had strawberry shooters on this night but he might be able to find one in the back. He rushed away and came back with a mango one just for him. Very sweet. We drank a lot of icy liquids since it was so hot. Iced tea, lemonade, fruit punch, water. There was no crowding at the buffet tables and there were plenty of CM's strolling around if you had a question. And a bonus if you have little ones....the bathrooms are nearby!
The parade was rounding the bend about then and the grandkids could see some of the tops of the floats....Jack Sparrow, Goofy, etc. The Boo-to-You music was loud. We were also able see the Villains Mix 'n Mingle show at the castle from our table.
Then the fireworks! WOW! I've never had such a great view. Hallowishes was magical from this spot. I was mesmerized. It was just great. We stepped up to the railing - there was no pushing or people trying to inch their way into your spot. Everybody was polite and subdued and there was room enough for everyone to view at the railing. Tables are set up a little close together but it's no different from any other Disney restaurant. My husband chose to watch the fireworks from our table and also had a good view.
I would do this again. It was worth it for the fireworks alone.
