Has anyone ever applied and been accepted to the CP and never been to WDW? Or is that a no-no? My daughter is going to apply for the Spring 2010 program and has (gasp!) never been to Disney World! Does that lessen her chances?

Nope, it is perfectly fine that she has never been here before. In some ways that may be a plus since she will be just as excited to be there as the guests, lol. The hardest part would be answering guests questions and giving directions but even those of us who have been here before have to work to really know where everything is and answer questions. WDW is such a large place and it can be a bit of an information overload for guests. One of my roommates had never been here before we started in May and she just dedicated her first few days after Traditions to having fun in the parks before she actually started work. It was kind of fun for the rest of us too.:):)

Thank you, Yes,IStillLoveDisney, for your quick reply. I feel better - I was starting to get worried! We are trying to absorb all the information needed to apply and everything that goes with that. It's a little overwhelming, but these boards are most informative! Thank you, again!:)

No problem, I'm glad to help. Just have her spend lots of time in the parks both enjoying them and just to get the feel for everything, lol. It is a good excuse, not that she will need one! :dance3:

It definitely doesn't lessen her chances. In the interview she will need to come up with a reason why she wants to work for Disney. If you have been there many times (like I have) the answer falls along more with the love you have for the company and wanting to share and be a part of it, maybe her answer would be more on the side of how great the company is and how much she would honored to be part of something that has such a great reputation in communities around the world?

Don't worry, many of those on the CP have never been to Disney before!

When I did the CS program in '06 out of the 4 of us in my apartment I was the only one who had been to WDW before. They had a ton of fun going to the parks for the first time and I had a ton of fun watching them experience it.
