Anyone applied their voucher toward a multi-day park hopper yet?

We will be there on Sunday and we want to get 2 day hoppers. I wondered if anyone had used their voucher to get a hopper. From the Q&A it sounds like you can, but I always feel better when someone has successfully done it.

The "Give A Day, Get A Day" voucher. I posted on that thread and no one responded. I'm trying to find out if anyone has done it yet and if it went smoothly.

Do the math and make sure that using the voucher to upgrade to a multi-day ticket is really worth it. In my case, it's not. We're going in March and need a 5 day ticket which we can get for $164 from getawaytoday.com. I think if we used the GAD voucher at DL, we'd get the gate price of a one-day ticket applied to the gate price of a 5 day ticket. The gate price of an adult 5 day ticket is $249. Assuming the voucher credit is for 1-day, 1 park, then its value would be $72, so we'd pay $177 to upgrade it to a 5 day ticket, which is more than if we just purchased the ticket ahead of time! If they use the credit of a 1-day park hopper, then its value would be $97 and the cost to upgrade would be $152, so that would be less than the pre-purchase price.

Oops - I just saw you're only needing a 2 day ticket, so it would definitely be worth it to use the GAD voucher. Since I'd already typed my response above, I thought I'd leave it in case someone else is considering using the GAD voucher for a longer-length ticket. :goodvibes
