Just wondering if anyone is as anxious as me and DH to get back their return to start booking vacation? We've had to pay income tax in previous years and therefore get extra taken off our pay, so we usually get a good return :cool1: .We went to Disney in the fall and have been bitten by the ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo BUG!!! :rotfl: So we have decided each year we would use the money we get back to see the WORLD!!! :cloud9: Just curious if anyone else does this. It's an easy way to save. : :cheer2:

Not to book but definitely to help pay off!!!!!! In fact, Im going to take it in late so there's no temptation to spend elsewhere ;) ;)

We are leaving on Friday and I will use ours to pay off our trip :teeth: . I have known since December (based on end of year pay stub) how much we are getting back (doesn't seem to flucuate too much over the years) so I know right now how much spending $$ we have, and because I mailed them in 2 weeks ago, by the time we get back, we should have the money waiting for us (in the bank)! We always use our taxes to fund our vacation to WDW. :cheer2:

We are thinking about booking a DCL for the fall if we can still get space.

Just said this to hubby yesterday. "Let's get our taxes in early and we can pay off our trip before we go" (in April). I love it when the trip is paid for before leaving and all I have to worry about is the spending money.

I totally agree Princess Aurora, That's why we haven't booked yet. We have spoken to our travel agent what we have in mind, and for when. Just waiting on the funds. It should be in the next week or two, My aunt is doing my taxes and i know we are going to get enough, just want to wait until the money is in hand or at least in the mail. have fun on your trip, I figure we'll have plenty of time to book, by the time the tax refund arrives. I've already saved the spending money, my hubbie constantly raids my change purse and we've been stocking up on US funds while the exchange has been good :smooth: TTFN Kat

Do it!

And when you book, check with Dana at MICDAN.COM (Cruise Planners). Her number is 1-800-385-8233. I have literally saved THOUSANDS with her for upcoming cruises, plus she is a DISer!

Not me...I pay and I pay and I pay

Haven't had a refund in a long time. :sad2:

We just got ours back yesterday!WOOHOO!But unfortunately not going to pay for a trip.

No refund, just another BIG payment! Sigh.....at least we're prepared for it!! :)

Congrats to all of you booking trips!! :Pinkbounc

What DH gets back I have to pay so I guess we break even.

I am waiting for Dh to sign a contract and not go on strike before I book...lol

Is DH part of OPSEU by chance? Since he is still awaiting a contract?

I rarely get a refund ... the only reason I'm getting one this year is because I made a contribution to my RRSP

GOT IT!! GOT IT!!! GOT IT!!! :Pinkbounc  :cheer2: :bounce:

Disney here we come...... :cool1:

Still waiting BUMMER!!! Aunt's computer crashed but is now up and running still anxiously awaiting : :sad2:

:cool1: My income tax refund if now in the bank, and this week I'll be getting my credit card bill.On it,are our Disney/SeaWorld/Busch passes which I ordered from mapleleaftickets.com.
So,with my refund,it'll help to pay a portion of our passes.
Our trip to OKW for 12 days is in November, can't wait!

I e-filed last month to make sure the direct deposit made it into my account before I left. Sure enough, Mr. TaxMan dragged his heels and waited until yesterday to make that direct deposit of my refund. I was sweating a bit but am calmer and cooler today. We are packing now, can't wait until tomorrow.

Thanking god, I didn't book with JetGo!

We tele-filed our taxes the last three years and had our refunds in our greedy little hands within 10 days. this year it was seven! I can honestly say I love revenue canada only one day a year, and that is when my refund comes. WooHoo!!!!!

It's not that my aunt just has got to doing it yet I put a bug in her ear yesterday that I was waiting for my return to book my trip. She said she'd look at it, she's still having computer probs :badpc: I'm sure once she does it I can do tele-file. I did suggest if it was gonna be too much if she had many more to do I could take it to H&R block. Does anyone know how much they charge? And did anyone get nailed with this new health tax our wonderful gov't came up with or will that start later. My aunt said she had to look into that too. Has anyone else found their taxes more difficult to do this year because of this? I completely dense when it comes to this stuff otherwise I'd do our taxes myself. Thanks Kat
