Anyone an expert on Shelties?

We have a puppy, and over the last few weeks, both of his ears have been flopping to the same side of his head! He looks crazy, like he has a side pony tail or something! Our older SHeltie has one "prick" ear, in that it stands up. I find advice on how to remedy that (I guess you tape it or something, don't really care, he's cute anyway), but nothing on this!

I'm not a sheltie expert, but I have a five month old sheltie. Her ears stick straight up most of the time unless she's tired. I've read in books that people tape the ears down or even put weights on them to make them curl down, but I would never do that.

Congrats on your Sheltie! Our older one is 9 and we just love him. They are wonderful, aren't they?
anyway, thanks for the reply. Like I said, our older dog has one ear that stands up, but our pup's seems to defy gravity and actually goes to the other side of his head!

No expert, but I have 2 shelties right now and we have had 4 altogether. One had his hears tip just right without any help. The other had them tipped when she was a pup, but now has one down/one up. We tried taping a washer to the ear, even supergluing (not skin just the hair on the tip to the hair at the base--nothing inhumane or anything!) and nothing worked. It's not like she's ashow dog or anything--just a pet. Check for the book Sheltie Talk It has way more info than you may ever want to know about shelties.
