Anyone allergic to most sunscreens?

My DD2 has extremely sensitive skin and allergy to the chemicals in most lotions/ sunscreens. She tried Blue Lizard Sensitive and it was no good for her. Her allergist switched her to VaniCream. As PP mentioned it's great. Improved her sceen rashes so much, I couldn't beleive it.
My skin is also sensitive, but not as much. I have a worsening sun allergy and my dermatologist recommends Blue Lizard.
Worked out great becuase then I just started using the Blue Lizard DD couldn't use!
Good Luck!

Have you found one that you aren't allergic to?

Use a non-chemical sunscreen... make sure the active ingredients are only zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Anything else can cause a reaction in some people.

Most Blue Lizard sunscreens are ok; some neutrogena are fine; Walgreens has one that is safe; Vanicream is pricey but really good.

DD had problems for the first time this year. I couldn't figure out what it was but I switched to using an avobenzone free sunblock. We used Coppertone Sensitive Skin with great success this year.

I am allergic to the parabens also. I try to find one that is specifically PABA free. Avon used to make one, not sure if they still do, but it was good for me. Alba also has one. This year I found the Neutrogena for sensitive skin at Target and got the Neutrogena baby also for my kids. We have gotten rid of all of the sprays we had because they caused my kids to break out in rashes this year when they had never had any problems before.

I'm allergic to ANY sunscreen with an SPF above 15 - makes my eyes and lips swell. I stick to good old Coppertone 15 or 8 lotion and wear a hat everywhere in Florida.
