Anyone actually receive the new planner?

I received my dues statement today postmarked 12/31/07 no planner though.

Anyone know how the Planner is being shipped? USPS, Fed-Ex, UPS, etc?

Anyone know how the Planner is being shipped? USPS, Fed-Ex, UPS, etc?

I was thinking they were trying to save money so they had it shipped on a slow boat to China for the stuffing of the envelopes, slow boat back, and then media mail to our homes. So even if they started the process before the end of the year, we might start seeing them in July.:rotfl2:

I talked with MS today. They said that they started shipping them on 12/15 and if I didn't get mine by the end of January, I should give them a call. 12/15/07 to 2/1/08? That is a very unique shipping system. I also emailed them. If I get a response, I will post it here.

We are in WDW right now so we went by the DVC sales center to get a copy. It is very attractive and we have already read it to start planning our upcoming year. No indication was given as to when the planners would be received but they did not hesitate to give us a copy even if ours had already been shipped.

On another post, some of the UK owners have already received thiers. link

Yes, it was reported on this thread a ways back that UK folks had their planners. Not sure why they should arrive earlier there than here. Every time I send something to Europe, it takes a LOT longer than mailing domestically. I wonder if that means Disney has "outsourced" the mailing too?

I got a dues statement also. What do we do with this? We don't have to pay anything right? I thought we were paying ours monthly. Sorry but we just bought AKV in August so everything is new to me. I'm not sure what I should do with it. Is it for tax purposes? I guess I never eventhought of this before but do I need to do something new with my taxes now that I own I own a timeshare? I hope this does not effect things too much since I already pay out of the wazoo for taxes:rotfl2:

I boguht in July, so I am new too. Uu do not have to pay anything if you are paying monthly. We are. In terms of taxes, I assume that DVC will mail us a tax statement later in the month. I believe that, depending on your situation, that the property tax portion of our dues and any interest, if financing, could be tax deductible.

I am sure a more seasoned member will be along soon to correct me if i am wrong.

We received our planner on Friday. We are in the process of purchasing a DVC membership through Disney. It was included with our closing paperwork. We still have allot of questions to answer before we commit, but it is nice to have the planner. I would ask why a prospective buyer is receiving the planner before members !!??

Thank You to all who post here. It has been extremely helpful to read the threads as we decide if/when/where to purchase. Thank you again.

No Planner here in Los Angeles. I spoke with Member Services and they said they were mailed out December 15! How is that possible. If we do not receive it by the end of Jan '08 they will mail them again!

Still no planner . . . and no dues statement . . . here in Ohio. Shouldn't we have received the dues statement by now?

I think our dues statement came last week, so there is still hope for yours. I just think it's weird that the over seas planners went out earlier than the domestic ones.

I live in the UK but don't have my planner yet although I have read posts that some planners have arrived over here. I get so disapointed when I come home and check the post to find it isn't there :sad1:
I did get my annual dues statement last Friday though.
