Anyone able to get thru to Member Services

Have been trying for five hours now and can't get past the busy signal. Last week I called, got right through with a 13 minute wait. What changed?

Random chance. It was bad last week, it's worse this week.

After a total of 1 hour and 47 minutes I was able to add 2 days onto my May 2021 trip at CCV.

park pass reservations overflow. the CM I spoke with said they were fielding calls from DVC members regarding park pass troubles and attributed it to their reservation, therefore they were obligated to help them vs turn them to Disney GS.

It's worth reading all the above, frustrated comments. They bear out my observation:

Member Services no longer effectively exists. Time to seek out third parties, to Rent out Points, or unload contracts. DVC functions when we can contact them. We can't contact them. They are effectively out of businesses.

OUR personal plan....

1) List All DVC points that Disney refuses to allow us to bank for RENTAL (in our case, David's).

2) Reject any AP extension, demand partial refund, buy NEW APs, that activate on first Use. So far, there are NO verified reports of actual AP refunds. Got one? Please share.

3) Strongly consider selling our contracts, 2022. No need to get rich - those contracts have already hit "break even". We could actually sell at $1.00/point, and loose no money.

Now this is our PERSONAL plan. Yours may be different. We are saddened that a great organization just folded like a wet sheet of paper :(.

I'm not happy with MS communications (CMs have been generally fantastic under pressure) or DVC IT's performance at all, but I'm still able to get through after 106 redial attempts and my total loss/impact remains at 16 banked points from 2018--even then, my loss would be 0 if I'm able to find a last minute weeknight from now until November 30. Everything else is banked to 2021+ (or will be shortly) for us.

Should a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Corporation require 106 redial attempts and have a non-functioning website? Probably not.

If I lost more points, I'd probably stay the course still... our contracts expire 2060+ and I'm in my 30s. Different math for different folks at different stages of life/travel.

To address #2 above, I received an AP refund earlier this month for DLR for a monthly payment (since suspended) from March 2020.

To address #3 above, you're just doing Disney a favor... they'll ROFR that contract and resell it for a profit. Deed it to family/friends if cost is no issue.

Here's to hoping we're back to normal times soon...but from the looks of COVID, probably not anytime soon.

Can someone currently on hold ask if borrowed points are currently (as of today) being unborrowed?

Please? Pretty please? C'mon you know you're just sitting there on hold reading this :o
They unborrowed my points. It was only 16 borrowed points though

We are all beyond frustrated with what's gone on lately but I will say one thing in their defense, there is no playbook for this pandemic. Never in a million years did they expect to ever have to close all parks for months. And this pandemic hit every Disney division very hard - travel, sports, movies, etc. all ground to a halt with almost no time to prepare.

After trying most of the day I was able to get through to Member Services at 5:13 CT. The hold time was a little over an hour. The call lasted a little over 20 minutes. The CM was very pleasant and helpful. She could not solve my problem. I need park passes for Sept and Dec of 2020. They are not selling any tickets for 2020 at this time. Wouldn't you know one of our AP expired March 11?

#2: I spoke with the CM today about the refund options and she said they are rolling out a program beginning July that will address the refund options. Even if you call now, they just issue a request to be put on a list re: refund but nothing is done now. Be patient and we will have the option to have a refund for what's left of our pass if you so choose.
