Anyone able to get on-line ADRs with DVC points reservation?

Obviously Disney wants all DVC members to eat off property, how are the restaurants over at Universal. :cool2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: TOO FUNNY!!! Anyhow .....

My experience:
Before buying DVC, I had registered with WDW web site as I booked our trips on-line. Then when I joined DVC, we were having a hard time logging on to DVC website but somehow my husband got it so that the two sites were linked - I could sign on to both with the same email and password.

So recently when I went onto the WDW site and logged on (actually I was already logged on automatically), I went to the Dining area under DISCOVER and booked my ADR's. It went without a hitch. It did not ask me my reservation number, phone number or anything. I'm a bit worried but do have a confirmation number - I only did one ADR as I had done them all previously by phone (on-line wasn't running yet). The one I booked was Jiko for 4 at 6:00 pm - I was about 80 days out of my beginning date. So I'm not sure if you are linked to the WDW site, where you are trying to make the ADR's - I think that's the only place to make them (on the WDW).... - wish I could help as I'm not a tech geek but regardless, that's my experience. I'm having a hard time following all the errors and questions that are being asked of you who are having issues. Perhaps being linked (WDW and DVC sites) is quite basic and I realize it's beyond this.

I'll let you know when we show up to the podium and get the heave ho!!!

OK - I fooled around a little more with the site and I find that if I go to DISCOVER and then dining and then to each of the restaurants - I can still book. If i go straight to the BOOK tab - I can't do it - it asks me for the DVC confirmation number. I cannot check my ADR's but I can book them. So I guess it's good to get them in there but forget about editing them. Try it!!!

:grouphug: Sorry about that! Thanks for sending the email though! They've got to know how unfair it is for us DVC'rs. Hope you still get the ADRs you want. Best you can hope for is to call the main dining number and they can find your DVC ressie so you can book the 90 +10. You just lose out on the hour benefit doing it online. Worst case - you have to wait until 9am to call MS to get the 90 +10... Good luck! :flower3:

Saying that.... that single hour can be the loss of a number of wanted dining experiences (times, dates or both) for many members. I got way more ressies I wanted online for the 4 days at ASMus than I did for the 6 days at AKLV because I was able to book online myself!

That's how I did it. I went through the DISCOVER section each time and then clicked on dining.

I was just given the perfect opportunity....

While once again attempting to access my DVC reservations in the online ADR system (and once again failing with all of them) I was asked to take a survey regarding my experience with the disneyworld.com website.

that sure was bad timing for disney.com

I understand the work around of making the most important reservation for the 90th day and then calling MS when they open. I just don't think I should NEED a workaround.

Same thing happened to me!

I thought I would see what kind of response I'd get from MS regarding this issue.

This was what I got

Thank you for contacting Member Services.

Disney Vacation Club Members can book dining reservations "90+10" days
in advance of their resort reservation by calling the Disney Reservation
Center (beginning at 7 a.m. EDT) or Member Services (beginning at 9 a.m.
EDT). The new online system is in its early phase and there are segments
that the system currently does not recognize. These have been identified
and we are actively working towards solutions.

Sincerely,

They acknowledge there is an issue, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that they can figure a solution. I guess in the big scheme of things it's not a HUGE deal but it would be nice if everyone was on a level playing field trying to get those hard to get reservations.

Think they cut and paste from a standard list of answers? This is the one I received today:

These have been identified and we are actively working towards solutions.

We appreciate your understanding.

That's odd seeing as how I don't have any incentive reservations so mine should be pulling up, no problem. Unfortunately that's not the case. I just hope they realize that this is a wider problem than just "incentive reservations."

I just read on another site someone could pull up their DVC reservation online and they were able to book their dining reservations online as well. I hope it is true!

It worked! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I've been checking all week since my 90 days is coming up this weekend. I put in our reservation number this morning and my reservation was there! Hopefully, come Sunday at 6am, it will allow me to book 90 + 10 days. (crossing my fingers!) :dance3:

I contacted MS and got the standard "we're working on it." response.

Try it again. I was able to pull up my reservations which I couldn't before. It will take anything for phone number as long as you enter 7 numbers.

I have tried many times with no luck at least for the 90 +10. I can see 90 day ressies no problem.

WooHoo! :cool1: Mine worked too. I wasn't able to bring up my reservation yesterday but today it worked! Just in time too, I start my 90 days on Monday!!!

:cool1: It worked for me too!! Even though my 90 day mark isn't until 7/25 it found our reservation!! :yay:

Yay! It finally found my reservation and just in time too -- my 90 window opens on July 9th. I'm hoping that Disney will release the park hours soon so I can firm up my plans prior to logging in.

I don't know if mine works or not, but it's a moot point now that my 90 + 10 advantage has passed. After reading some of the recent posts, I'm thinking my reservation may be considered an "incentive reservation" due to the fact that I have not officially closed on my purchase yet.

On a bright note, a very nice person on another forum I frequent offered me her 9/27 Le Cellier dinner reservation for 3 people. I have 4 in my party and will take my chances as it's a late (8:50PM) reservation and I can't imagine they have any tables that would seat 3 but not 4. She called to see if they would change it to 4 and was denied  (she jokingly called the CM "the ADR police!) If they can't seat all 4 of us, I'll let my mother-in-law eat with the kids and stroll over to France for a Grand Marnier slushie or 2 :rotfl:

Looking forward to next May, when my membership will be "official" and there is no free dining. DD turns 9 while we are there and I have my fingers crossed that we'll be able to get in at whereever she wants to celebrate her birthday!
