Anyone able to get on-line ADRs with DVC points reservation?

I got LECTURED by MS about how the system is FAIR for everyone. How is it fair that DVC members can't do online bookings? It's hard enough getting reservations as it is but now we have to wait 1 -3 hours after everyone else gets to pick and choose prime dining. So irritating!!!

on the phone right now and they haven't got a single character meal available for our visit... no O'hana...
and I got the phone RIGHT at 6:58

They appear to have fixed the glitch. I'm now able to pull my DVC reservation up. Too bad I already did them over the phone!!

Mine still isn't working. As you weren't able to see your reservation in the on-line system previously I wonder if

1. When you added your phone number it actually worked but didn't go into effect immediately.

or

2. By making reservations on the phone it put your reservation in the system in a manner that allowed the dining system to retrieve it later.

It would be so nice if we could figure out what the specific set of conditions were.:headache::headache:

By the way, who did you update you phone information with? MS. DD or both?

This sounds like a nightmare! What part of this system is fair to DVC members?
I hope they have this worked out by the time I make my reservations for April. We always buy the DDP, but if I can't get any ADRs I will be eating off property. (we always have our car) Not that WDW would care much as they will fill the space I wanted with someone else.

Sounds like DVC members are getting the shaft again!

Thanks DVC::sad2:

It's interesting that you should ask that... I called MS last week and had them verify the phone number on my reservation. She read off some nonsensical number that even she agreed couldn't be a phone number (not enough digits). So, she updated my phone number in the system.

However, when I called disney dining she looked up my reservation and had a tough time getting it to come up. Apparently, the number on the reservation was still not the correct number. However, she was able to bring it up eventually.

So, it seems like something happened when I made my reservations over the phone that has caused my reservation to suddenly be available to the Non-DVC castmembers computer system.

Strange...

I suspect that it is number 2. I called on Friday to add my number to the system, but this morning, the on-line system still cannot retrieve my reservation. But, I haven't made any dining reservations yet, since I'm just outside of the 90 day window.

I'm hoping that once the free-dining ends, it'll be easier to get reservations. But I'm probably just kidding myself...

So to sum up, it still looks like the DVC/ADR system problem hasn't been fixed.

Has anyone formally complained to MS about the inability to book online dining 90 +10? I think we should flood thier "Contact Us" inbox with this specific complaint. Maybe it will move it to the top of the priority list (yeah right - but it can't hurt trying).

Come on everyone! Log into the Member website and click on Contact Us and log a request/compliant to get DVC members to have the same perks as someone who books with Disney directly - specifically 90 +10 Online ADR's!!! :cheer2: :hippie:

I hope they have this fixed by July 16! Can those with regular resort reservations pull them up before the 90 day window?

I sent an email last night. Of course, by the time they sort all this out it will be too late to salvage my ADR's for September. I am very, very disappointed.

No one can make ADR's before the 90 days from the BEGINNING of their resort reservation. However, right now regular resort guest can book online dining 90 days from the beginning of their trip out at least 10 days into their trip (which could be 100 days before the ADR date). Everyone else has to wait until exactly 90 days from the date of the ADR they wish to make. It's all tied automatically to your resort ressie number. If the online can find your ressie number, it allows you to book the additional 10 days. If it can't find your ressie number, it assumes you are not staying on property - therefore removing the "on property" perk.

:grouphug: Sorry about that! Thanks for sending the email though! They've got to know how unfair it is for us DVC'rs. Hope you still get the ADRs you want. Best you can hope for is to call the main dining number and they can find your DVC ressie so you can book the 90 +10. You just lose out on the hour benefit doing it online. Worst case - you have to wait until 9am to call MS to get the 90 +10... Good luck! :flower3:

I was able to get most of what I wanted thanks entirely to a CM who graciously helped me out. I made numerous calls thereafter, but still no Le Cellier availability and I got really tired of CM's telling me, "well that one is hard to get no matter what and you probably wouldn't have gotten it anyway." Had I been able to get online early in the morning on my first day of 90 + 10 and not been able to get it, I'd have accepted it. But knowing that people booked in value resorts with free dining had an advantage over me, well, I used the word disappointed before but let's just say I'm very angry. I believe the word I used in my email was "insulted." And that's coming from a brand new DVC member. I can only imagine how long-time DVC members must feel about this. Glitch or not, it's a slap in the face to Disney's most loyal customers.

Yes!!! I was able to get all of the ones we wanted with the times we wanted for our trip which is 9/26-10/3. I wasn't aware that it was still a problem for DVC owners, I thought that issue had been taken care of!

I just want to say that I'm not surprised DVC members are having trouble with the online ADRs. I have tried a few times unsuccessfully to call the main dining line that opens at 7 AM and make ADRs. Everytime I've been told that the "regular" dining CMs cannot access DVC member confirmation numbers. I could make one reservation for exactly the 90 days and then I wouldn't be able to make any more after that. Same thing with the online ADRs. I can make ONE reservation for exactly 90 days from today but that's it; it will not accept my DVC confirmation number. I called MS this morning to make ADRs for my September trip and they seemed surprised that I couldn't use the online system for 90 + 10 ADRs. . .??? I hope they fix it because I do NOT think its fair that the rest of the Disney loving world gets to make ADRs as soon as their window opens up and DVC members are stuck waiting until 9 AM for member services to open!! OK, rant over, thanks for listening!! ;)

That is strange. I have made 90+10 ADRs while staying on points via the WDW-DINE number. You may have been connected with a CSR that didn't know what they were doing. I have not heard of any policy changes to this affect.

I would call back if I were you.

Okay, so to summarize again so that folks don't have to read all of these posts.

If you are have a DVC confirmation and you are trying to make dining reservations, at the 90 day mark you should:

1. Get on the website at least ten minutes before six AM. Try to login to the site with your DVC confirmation (it won't work, but why not try?)
2. Use a website with an atomic clock (Disney's time is exact)
3. Get your 90 day reservations
4. Get offline and get ready to call 407-WDW-DINE at exactly 7AM. This is for reservations in the 10 days after your check in date (so 90+10)
5. Get your next hardest to get ADR's first thing as soon as the CM picks up.
6. Call/email and complain to member services that the problem is still not fixed.

Good luck to all! My 90 day mark is next week!

How come I didn't have a problem making my 90 + 10 day out ressies?? We're DVC and while the site wasn't the easiest to use, I did manage to get 9 ADR's, all that I had on my list.

Well I sure had problems, going Sept. 20 - 27. I couldn't book my ressie last week online I had to call MS. Then I had to wait 5 days to book my cash ressie even though the ressies are linked. I booked this Saturday online. I kept one day open on my DVC ressie to keep trying to see if I could book, since we have decided to go to Oliva's and in the past that one hasn't been hard to book. I did tell MS and sent a nice little email followed up with a letter about the problem and the disadvantaged to members.

I'd LOVE to know how you did that on-line. :worship: Did you do all your ADR's online? Did you have to call anyone? When I plug in my confirm number and phone number, it tells me it can't find it.

Honestly, the site wasn't the easiest and I don't know if that was the DVC factor or what. Basically I was ready to go at 6:01am. (I was under the impression the DVC issue had been fixed otherwise I never would have tried online!) I tried right away and it wouldn't even give me the screen to put in my reservation number for VWL. I was able to finally get it to work by logging out and then logging back in. :confused3 No clue why but that's what I had to do.

It only let me do one, if I hit the button that I wanted to search for more ADR's it wouldn't work again. So, I checked out with my first ADR, dinner at LTT. I tried to go in again and start over but it wouldn't work so I gave up and was on the phone on hold at Disney Dining.

Keep in mind at this point I was sitting in my van in our driveway because the trip is a secret from our kids. :thumbsup2 Anyway, it said my wait time was going to be over 30 min. :scared1: After I sat for about 20 -30 min I had the brilliant idea to get my laptop and try to get the site working again while I was on hold.

So, I brought my laptop out to my van and one by one I was able to get the ADR's. I had to disassociate my resort reservation EVERY time. Then I had to log out, log back in and then put my resort reservation number in all over again. It was frustrating but I was just happy it was working.

I was still on hold by the time I got them all done, at that point I had been on hold for OVER an hour!:scared: I hung up once I got them all.

But, that's my story!

I did call back later on to cancel a ressie because later on I decided I would rather try a different place. I got that ADR online and then called to cancel the one scheduled at a similar time.

I'm so sorry that's happening to you!!! I'm sure that is very aggravating. I knew I felt pretty stressed on Sunday morning when the site seemed very UNfriendly!
