Anybody watching the President?

I watched the State of the Union on NBC. The lighting was very bad. Both Obama and Boehner had an orange Oopma-Loompaesque glow that was unflattering. Paul Ryan looked awful too.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was pictured more than once rummaging in her purse and many of the elected officials from both parties appeared bored. Poor Gary Locke has blood in one of his eyes. Hillary Clinton was having a bad hair day.

John Boehner always looks like an Oopma-Loompa...regardless of what lighting he's in.

I found it interesting but then I usually don't watch these so I have less to compare this to. I found the new way of mixing everyone up kind of fascinating but maybe that's why there was less applause.

I watched most of it, DD had to watch it for her AP Gov class. I thought it was funny how many times the Space Program was mentioned and going to the moon was mentioned when the facts are the Shuttle fleet is being retired this year and the Constellation program (back-to-the-moon) funding was cut.

There are no plans for United States in the near future to go back into space or to go to the moon. And I have to say, my DD is and was devastated about the news.

agnes!

I thought that was kind of ironic too. It's sad that the space shuttle program is coming to an end. And we are many years away from going to Mars. Remind your dd that there will still be astronauts aboard the space station. It's interesting to watch them at work on Nasa tv every day.

I watched. I was at my congressman's swearing in on Sunday and they were teasing him about how he always gets a seat on the aisle. And he was one of the ones that switched sides with a Republican counterpart. Sure enough, as the President walked down the aisle, there was my congressman shaking his hand and sharing a laugh about something.

Nope, didn't watch this one either. Property Virgins was on HGTV. I did flip by one time to see if it was over and saw it was still on and there were some people sitting in the floor. :confused3 I wondered why they were there when it appeared there were more empty seats.
