This has to be one of my favorite movies. Sure, it's fluff, but as someone who graduated high school in 1980, you've got to love all the 80's music and the references to 80's culture.

It cracks me up when Julia's fiance drives up in the deLorean, the door pops open, and the Miami Vice theme blares from the car.

Also love Jon Lovitz interpretation of "ladies night", and

"do you really want to hurt me....?"

I love that movie! We have it on DVD but somehow it got lost and now all I have is the case.... Cant figure out what happened to it.. Its one of the only Adam Sandler movies I like, most of the time he is too over the top for me!

I caught a few minutes of it. I love that movie. They just seem so right together. Oh, and the memories the music brings back....

I can't wait to see the next movie they are going to be in together. It looks really funny. She has some kind of amnesia where she can't remember anything from day to day so he has to make her fall in love with him again every day. Looks funny!

I love that movie!!! DH and I saw it at the theater when it came out and it put me right back in high school-ahh the memories.:hyper:

Great movie. Hey Browneyes, is this the song?

[Billy Idol (Speaking):] Good afternoon everyone.
We're flying at 26,000 feet, moving
up to thirty thousand feet, and then we've got clear skies
all the way to Las Vegas, and right now we're bringin you some in-flight entertainment.
One of our first-class passengers has written a song inspired by one of our coach passengers,
and since we let our first-class passengers do pretty much whatever they want, here he is.

[Robbie Hart (Singing):]
I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you

I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you

I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold

Need you
Feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed if you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you

:D The Wedding Singer is one of my all time favorites! DH bought it for me for Christmas a couple of years ago. "I'm going to be Mrs. Julia Gulia!" :rotfl:

I didn't watch it but wanted to say "Hello neighbor!"

Sorry, but if I NEVER see this movie again it will be perfectly fine with me! Not that it's not a good movie, but when I was in the hospital about a year or so ago, they seemed to be playing it NON-STOP every night on the cable TV I had in my room! If you watch any movie enough, even though it's a good one, it can really get on your nerves...

The Wedding Singer is one of my favorite movies. It is so funny. :rotfl:

This is one of my favorie movies!! We watch it all the time! I LOVE the part where Robbie makes his friend Sammy "try out" for the limo job!! Robbie: "You hit 2 cones, those could have been guests", Sammy: "but they were cones"

I don't care for Adam Sandler (DH does like him... which is why I am DISing while he watches tv!), but I LOVE this movie!!!!!
I was in High School in the 80's and boy some of that movie brings back memories.

It was okay...

Nothing special, but I could be biased. I'm working on my own 80s-oriented screenplay, but I'm going to take a more serious approach to the decade. The 80s references won't be played for winking-ironic-hipster edification (despite the fact that my dream cast includes several commentators from the "I Love The 80s" programs). It'll be more like a movie from the decade than a movie about the decade.

Any dummy can do irony...It takes a different type to be serious.

Sincerely,

John "anotherboardnposter" Kilduff...

When I say dummy, I don't mean this board's members.

I thought the movie was funny. And that's the point; it's a comedy, afterall ;)
